Hi Guys - can anybody recommend a good place to buy tools- specifically sockets, around 20mm > 30mm size range. If open on a Sunday, even better!! Thanks

There's a shop that sells bicycle stuffs and some tools at Changi Village next to the hawker ctr (close to the nasi lemak stall).

Bought my socket wrench there. Open on Sunday. :)

Thanks Seal !! Went to fit my new rearsets only to find I am missing the right size socket - 24mm, perhaps I can find only there?!

Hey guys, was wondering if any of you guys have got a 14T front sprocket changed here from a 15T? And if so, is it beneficial for S'pore riding? I've been reading about it in other forums eg. ducati.ms and ducati.org, the views there were more on mountainous riding and long roads which we do not have here, and also they were on a equally +/- note. So having said that, I would like to hear it from you guys. Thanks in adv and appreciate your replies.

2T up at the back = 1T down at the front.

The benefit of dropping 1T at the front is for better pick up and that u dun need to change ur chain. There is of cos a slight sacrifice on top end but its not very noticable if u r staying within speed limits.

I'm currently running 15/36T from my stock 15/39T. Its nearly impossible to hit 5th gear for street use which i do regret and intend on changing it back when i change chain.

Just in case anybody else gets stuck doing DIY without the right tools, I found Homely Hardware are open on Sundays till 2.30. Their shop at Ubi is great, and prices seem good (well compared to Homefix anyway!!) Maybe a little bit sad, but on entering my eyes lit up😍, and made me wish I had a proper garage again.... Must be like being my 3 year old when we go past ToysRus... hahaha 😃

I AM a proud owner of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and read recently that the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has stepped up enforcement action against Harley bikes for modifications, especially the loud signature exhausts.

While regulations are important, the LTA should communicate clearly on legal and unsanctioned modifications for premium motorcycles like Harley-Davidson or Ducati.

It is frustrating to find out that enhanced options which are brought in by the manufacturers themselves are considered illegal.

Although I agree that some modifications endanger lives and the environment, I do not think that a Harley fitted with an after-market exhaust is any louder or more environmentally unfriendly than a Ferrari with a factory-fitted exhaust.

These products have had to go through stringent testing and certification before the manufacturers can sell them. Ruling that a modification is illegal because it is 'not factory or manufacturer fitted', 'not to manufacturer specifications' or because it 'will endanger the environment', without a detailed explanation, is wrong.

At the very least, programmes with vehicle dealers - to help them legalise enhanced equipment at a lower cost and with much less archaic and bureaucratic processes - would help.

Owners of premium motorcycles are no different from luxury car buffs. We want our vehicles to look and sound good. There are ways to find a balance between the law and making a motorcycle look and sound as it truly should.

I'm running 14/39. That is -1 at the front and +3 at the rear. Top speed is down by 40-50km/h approx.

Just wanna do a quick check wit you guys. I did a search and there are way too many posts on street-legal exhausts in this thread. I think it's a good idea to have some sort of a listing.

Can we have a summary of the current street-legal exhausts for Ducati (maybe including pricing as well)? I guess there is still no legalised Termis for Sillypore at this moment? I'm particularly keen to know the street-legal exhausts options for the Streetfighter.

Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Talking about awesome, I think nothing beats Termis  The problem is, it's not legal ... :(

The carbon Akra look awesome on the Streetfighter. Not sure whether it is legal though.

Hi yohji, unfortunately, the carbon akra is not legal due to its availability as an Open type exhaust only. I believe that only the titanium ec type approval akra (S-D10SO5C-HZT) is legal in Singapore. I have personally heard one with the db killer on and it sounds quieter than the stock cans. However, the sound without the baffles is similar to the termignoni. One would be hard pressed to spot the difference based on sound alone.

Oh man, light coloured exhausts don't look good on the SF IMO .. :(

Are you on stock now? Any idea on legalized carbon ones?

There are no legal carbon exhaust for the Streetfighter the reason is simple: the Cat is in the cans and it is too hot for carbon the only legal cans are in metal (titanium or else).

Hope it helps....
