By right, 24000km the previous owner should have done the major service.. You could go to Minerva and check out the service records of the bike 1st and see what he have done so far on the bike :)

From there you can roughly gauge what needs to be done next coz if I'm not wrong the 24000km service is change of belts, timing chain, valve clearance and all..

Barnetts are fine.

To my knowledge: Originals are made out of steel plates, barnetts are made out of alum. (less cling cling cling) Barnetts dun last as long as originals. Surflex is suppose to last longer then barnetts.

Check with michael cheong. He might have a new spare set of barnett lying ard somewhere that belongs to his customer.

hi all! im trying my luck here again!! Hahahaha.. Anybody selling ducati older version? Hahaha..

If you want an older one, consider a used m400 at global motors. Sure old enough for you.

Just to add, you need to depend your basket made too.

Using a steel plate with alum basket will make the basket wear faster. Vice versa for a alum plate with steel basket.

The newer breed should be using alum basket. You should able to see a belt around the middle of the basket for the alum.

And to add on, is it common for the engine to be so hot? Understand that a twin can be hotter then other bikes but I realise it's much hotter compared to my 748...
