Hi all, I have the upgrade fork cartridge kit for the stock Ohlins fork to level up to SBK FGRT specs. It will fit the 1098S and 1198S models.

The upgrade valving kit was bought from Kyle Racing and now priced to sell at $350. A definite bargain if you do your research.

PM me if keen. Cheers!

Dear ducati fellows,

I am taking class 2 in April. will take one of the three models after passing (dreaming about it for many years), 848/1098/1199, second hand of coz.

I am 167cm tall, 50KG, so a bit concern on the seat height, i assume 848 and 1098 should be the same height, am I able to adjust the seat height to a comfortable position without comprising too much on the performance? and initially I was only thinking about 848/1098 due to budget reason, but 1199 looks smaller so it might be a better fit for me as I am small size, it doesn't look awkward when i am riding...

appreciate your opinion on that.

And if anyone wants to let go your 848/1098/1199 somewhere in May. I will be a potential buyer.. I personally prefer red color. tempted to do tracking also, not an enthusiast but no harm playing few times an year.

Thank you!

Liberty is superbly expensive. 2.5k for my SF and NTUC only 1.5k. No NCD. I suggest you go with NTUC. Liberty doesn't even want to cover me on the desmo.

Hi xinkehew, have you tried to swing your leg over those bikes. The seat area nearer to the tank is quite narrow. You should not have a problem with seat height. Just be mindful that for the 848/1098/1198 the aftermarket Ducati Superpole Seat would raise the seat height. With the stock seat, should be no issue.

Dear Seal,

thanks for the reply.

Yes. I went to Minerva a couple of times, sit on show room bikes few times and tried to position the bike straight. Have to say, I can touch the ground with both of my toes, but not very comfortable neither stable enough. I can at least have first half of the feet on the ground with my current ride RS125... So i am thinking if lowering the seat height with some after market suspension could be an option ( or i guess stock Ohlin can do that also),, I used to try a 848 few month back ( Minerva claimed it was purposely adjusted lower), i was very comfortable with that but read some threads in foreign ducati forum that this may have impact on the road performance of the bike... so i come here to seek your opinions..

Thanks.

You're right. You could adjust seat height by lowering preload or even rear ride height via the shocks (if it's ride height adjustable). You could even source for lowering links.

However, there is an optimal point before the change in geometry affects the handling i.e. over or understeer and even ground clearance. I'm no suspension expert, so you may want to talk to people like Henry at Worx or Joshua from Bikelab. But their opinions can only help you so much. You can only know the exact limitations of the change in geometry that you set after you ride.

Personally, I would encourage you to ride the bike as it is with settings done according to your weight and within intended manufacturer's specs. I'm quite sure you will get used to the seat height in no time. :)

Hi ducati riders, im new and be getting an 848evo around the 18th. I have a question about the termi exhaust, base on ur knowledge is it legal? Ive consulted some of my friends some told me its illegal and some told me its legal for ducati. Any fellow rider can explain a bit?

I would appreciate it if someone could guide me about the bike, such as what to look out for etc. Anything!

Lastly, its an honour to be able to get a ducati. Dream came true!!♥

Hi all,

I just bought my first Ducati (848 evo) and collect it on Tuesday.

As a total newb I'm sure I'll be stalking all the seniors for advice.

Okay, first question:

where in SG can I get frame sliders for an 848evo? I want the no-cut type that protects the frame and fairing?

Thanks

motovation, motorworld, unique motorsports..

these are one of the few, you can visit their websites for product catalogs and etc.

Another question to those far more experienced...

How do you mount the cashcard IU so that it still works with carpark sensors, is easy to access the card (for removal) and is out of the way (I realise out of way & easy access contradict each other).

I'm after an elegant solution to the problem.

Currently the IU is under the rear seat and works with ERP but not carparks.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers
