Question... Can't seem to fine the answer through the search . What is the tire pressure u guys put into your bikes?

I found the manual and it says 29psi. But I noticed the dimensions of the width are slightly different. I'm using mezeler from P.

Currently I' putting 32 front and 35 back... My mech when he changed my tires... He put 44psi.... I felt like I was riding on iron tires... Don't know good or bad...

Whats the difference between your tires and the stock ones? im using metzler lasertec.

44 psi is too much i think thats around 300kPa! u might have improper wear on your tire after that..

on the tyre there is a marking that says what is the max u should not exceed.

i think alot of ppl pump usually from 200-240KPa i think.. the manual indicates 200KPa or 29psi..

its probably personal preference as long u dont exceed cos they change the responsiveness of the ride. i personally pump 220 KPa (~31psi) for both tyres.

Totally agree that 44psi is bad... Good thing I had some sense to ride past a kiosk to pump it... So didn't ride it for long...

Does it matter a lot if the pressure from the front and back differs?

personally nvr vary both side a lot but do feel a slight difference like maybe more sponginess on the softer side when i was experimenting at the start.

usually ill put the same just to gauge. or else when i corner the feeling damn awkward.

Anyone got this experience before? If I dun start my ta200 say 3 days, I will need to crank it like 3 to 4 times for the engine to start. May I know if this is normal or some part need to be replaced liow. Thank you in advance.

Hey guys. Yesterday I was traveling at 110km/h for like 4 mins non stop.. then suddenly the bike's engine got cut off... i couldnt start the bike until a few mins later.. now it has the weird and loud sound coming out from the engine... anyone could suggest what happened to it ? I'm afraid it might have something to do with the piston or something critical. =((((

This one best leave it to the mechanic. Engine cut off many reasons ah, water go inside (raining days), wiring loose or smth, petrol contaminated, etc.

Can you still run the bike normally? If something wrong with the piston or anything related u better dun run any more and send for assessment. . Especially when u say got weird and loud noise..

Anyway not recommended to run the engine at high speed constantly. . This bike not designed to chiong.. heh

It still can start and ride normally... just that whenever i start the bike, it has this weird metal noise coming out from the engine. And the vibration is stronger than usual when its running. Quite worried that the problem may lay with the piston. Heard that if the problem really lies with the piston, i might need to overhaul the engine, is it true ? its costly isnt it ? I'll most probably bring it to JB for a check soon.

Get your trusted mech to go your place, assess the condition of your bike, removal for repair or......... Do not start the engine anymore, the damage could be severe.

Anyone experience this defect on his phantom?

Recently I have problem kicking gear to neutral position.

Always miss regardless Gear-1 kick up to neu or gear-2 down to neu.

I need to turn off the engine by switch, roll back or forward to find neutral.

One mech said is the gear linkage problem, but no guarantee after replace will resolve.

Mech said If not resolve then change another part but still no guarantee will resolve.

WT-Hell...... I look like carrot to him.......

Any bro know what went wrong with the phantom?

Thank pal, i think it the clutch need to adjust abit.

After searching the internet this problem happened on different bike.

After they adjust the hand lever or the right bottom clutch the problem resolved.

Will reduce the free play to test out.

Thank You.

Actly the handlebar turn should nt affect the freeplay. If it is, means somewhere is binding. Need to check the routing of ur clutch cable. Make sure its not stretched or moved when handlebar turns. Same applies to throttle cable. :)
