main tank and reserve are physically one tank....its divided by juz the fuel petcock....

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

full details here>>>click

in a nutshell, it be $100 if you are retaining it on a brand new bike, $1300 on a existing bike and $1300 per year until you find a bike to retain on...if you did find that bike before 1 year is up and it is a new bike, then LTA will refund you $1200. If you have yet to find that bike and wants to retain for another year, then you have to pay another $1300 to keep it for another year

hope this helps

Thanks Bro for your help!

I really appreciate it very much!

Hi all,

Had some problems with my rear brake, so went to mech to change the brake pump. That was around 2-3 weeks ago.

Now, the rear brake is jammed, clamped onto the disc, and the rear wheel can't even move! Can someone please advise me on how to remove the rear brake pads, so I can at least ride to my mech (less than 5 km away)?

I searched through the forum and could not find a solution.

Thanks!

aiyo... this is serious...

have a look at the brake disc... is it warped...? if not... take a flat head screw driver and try to pry the calipers away from the disc...

if you couldn't pry open the calipers there is a good chance that the calipers are damaged... then you would need to tow your bike to a workshop already...

hope your bike get well soon...

Thanks Vidak for the quick reply. I'm quite a noob, so I assume that the calipers are the things clamping the brake pads to the disc?

The disc looks fine. Actually the reason why my brake pump was changed was because the brakes would not release completely when I stopped apply rear breaks.

If I take a screw driver, where exactly do I try to pry the calipers? Don't want to do additional damage..

:(

yes the calipers is the clamp with brake pads clamping onto your disc... you can try pry it gently where the brake pad comes in contact with the brake disc...

actually, there are way too many possible reasons of why this is happening (caliper spoilt, brake hose kinked/folded somewhere, banjo nuts blocked, etc)... and in fact, your master brake pump might even be in good condition when you replaced it...

I would not be contactable until late at night tonight... I hope you could get it remedied... if not, I would recommend you to tow your bike to planet... their number is 67474740...

Thanks for the advices guys. Yah, I got the brake pump changed @ Planet, and now this happens, lol.

Think I'll try to free it, and if successful, will ride slowly without applying rear brakes. It's only a short ride to Planet from where I am..

Thanks again!

happened to me before..

i rode all the way frm woodlands to amk..

1 bloody roller coaster..

extremely unsafe..

despite rear brake having lesser power as compared to front..

without it.. feels as if u have no control for braking..

ps: i didnt ride on expressway..

1)Stamp hard and slip your foot off the rear brake pedal to see if it opns a little. The sudden squeeze and release shd force the calipers out alittle.

2)Wait till nxt morning, might be releasing slowly over night. Thn ride to planet without using the rear brakes.

Take note: The rear brakes will get tighter while riding due to heat expansion. so ur alittle tight might juz get tighter. o_O

Three things might have happened to ur brakes.

1. water enters the brake pump corroding the piston. jammed pump.

2. Pot caliper jammed (rain? brake dust deposit?)

3. erm... nt likely bt exccesive brake fluid?

i once rode till my rear dics turn red :D cuz i ngeh ngeh lai.

heard from mechanics that phantom rear brake pump is a common prob due to the location of the pump.

now i spray chain wax onto the rubber seal to prevent water intrusion. 3 yrs dwn so far so gd.

yes yes.. and not exactly the location of the pump..

rather the orientation of it..

apparently gt some opening which is facing in such away..

rain/water gets kicked up will enter the pump..

causing it to fail relatively easily..

just adjust your chain temsion and have it cleaned and lub...

the reccomendation is to cleam amd lub every 500km or earlier if u ride in rain and dusty environment.

all those who having chain oiler is having a ball...dont need to worry about it.
