oh yes... wide handlebars are sooo comfortable... it felt really awkward for me when I ride a stock phantom nowadays... :cheeky:

dun worry about the handling... you will get used to it real quickly

:thumb: for wide bars, the only issue for latter onz is .................u will only wan to ride in wide bar cause no other handlebar can give u tis Super Comfi position during cruising :cheeky:

Anybody heard before, to replace thier bike wheel ball Bearing? I got a qoute for $270. is that a good qoute?

sometimes when i ride my bike, a bit wobbly when changing gear.

if it is a wheel ball bearings...$270 comes with free wheel maybe include tyres too.

ahhaha...stop going to that bike shop..if the job involves just bearings..IMHO>>

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

if it is just the bearing, it is a few times overpriced... shame on the shops chopping new riders... :sian:

Maybe its the crankshaft ball bearing. A lot of labour to replace those.

TS, you need to tell us what ball bearing you are getting quoted to change.

Hi ,

Any idea where can i get my phantom fixed with pilot light?

and without the hassle of going into JB and not too expensive : )

Thanks

this pilot light tire you mentioned about... it's michelin right?

from what i know, there is no michelin tires for phantom.

i only know of IRC, Duro, Shinko, dunlop (i currently using tt900 on my front wheel), pirelli and metzeler.

there could be more which i dunno. the more senior PKs might know a few more.

Hi Guys,

Dropped by at Ah Boy's today to buy a bike cover. Then I asked about the wide handle bar. Was told its $28, but didn't get to see how it look like.

Then I went down to Planet to ask about this wide handle bar mod. One of the mechanic told me that if I change to wide handle, I'll have to change all the brakes and clutch and what-not cables cos they won't be long enough to link up to the wider handle bar. He said that the mod is quite a tedious process.

All along I thought it's just swapping the bar.. Anyone can lemme know what are the "other stuffs" that needs to be change when doing this mod? And also the total cost and time needed to do it? TIA!

changing of wide handle bar doesnt take long.

less thn an hour, cost wld be less thn 100..

i got mine at 80, xxelimxx got his at er i forgot..

can you just change th handlebar itself without changing othr stuff not even th cables.

it all depends on how wide you want your handlebar to be... but usually you would be able to use the stock cables and hoses... but it is a tedious process... may need an hour...
