the queue starts at 830am...lol but shop opens at around 915am onwards

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

takecare of th one on e left side.

behind th chrome cover is a black odd shaped cover, directly behind that is your air filter, once it get in contact with water, like rain, your machine wld start to hav astma(typo?) & power lost is a definite.

the one on e right isnt that bad, thr's a fuse there which you hav to takecare thou, fuse + water = chances of blown fuse equates to no electric supply on your bike. (no lights, no horns, no indications, IU not working etc etc)

previously i made a round cover on my own to replace th chrome cover thou.

as in my avatar, the orange thingy thr. (:

Hello,

Recently, I've been hearing spark sounds from the spark plug when starting my Phantom. I don't know if it's normal or not, but sometimes it can get quite loud. I then changed my spark plug and when starting the bike, it the spark sounds got less obvious.

I know a spark plug is supposed to create sparks, but is it supposed to be so loud that it can be heard? I never heard the sparks before.

if you meant the ignition sound it's normal.. how loud is loud dude?

I don't think it's part of the normal ignition, and it can be heard over the normal ignition :)

Hey all,

This morning when i ride to work, i notice that the rubber sealing at the base of the speedo came loose, with half of it dangling around.

i went to a bike shop nearby, and they say that they can't do anything about it, since the rubber strip comes together with the speedo itself.

my 2 concerns here:

1) Without a complete seal, will water seep into the speedo and damage the speedo?

2) is it ok if i simply tear away the rubber strip, and apply silicone myself?

Hi, since yesterday - after only a quick food stop, my Phantom won't start. Battery is ok as all other electric like lights, horn etc are working. All I hear is a loud click but nothing happens. All wires and fuses are checked.

I am not a mechanic wizz so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

th seal is to prevent 'rattling' whn th bike vibrates / moves / shake.

'rattling' between the speedo (chrome thingy) & the gas tank.

removing th seal might cause a noise. water issue, no worries, th water wld sip & just hit your frame, hit your block, hit th road.

This happened to me a few months ago...press electric start only hear a click sound, but light all those still working.

Went to planet and asked Dr chong. He press once on the electric start hear the click noise then he went into his shop. He came out with a metal rod...THEN GIVE MY BIKE A SMACK WITH IT! After that can start already! Haha!

He told me the starter at the piston there spoil already...what he hit was the starter and the electric start can work again. Had it changed for around $60 I think. :)

On the bright side...this problem is what causes me to learn how to push start bike~

Hope this helps.
