hi i juz passed my 2a today...

 

er consiedering getting a g4 but i heard its quite problematic.. may i know hw much to set aside for standby..

 

and er g4 got any after market mod to play with???

 

wats the top end like..

 

sorry i still deciding between cbr 400 g4 and pgm..

 

so i posting on all 3 forums for advise and info hope u all can help..

 

bro, i rode a gsx400rr before. now im riding a cbr400rrr model. my opinion between the 2 bikes, gsx4 has more power in terms of speed and pick up while on the other hand, cbr4 has a better riding posture but bike easily get very hot. Power wise, I still prefer the power of gsx4. Easily can touch 100km/h. I kena saman by TP last week cos of speeding for riding at 101km/h after KPE tunnel. hehe...

 

The verdict, for power choose g4, for more comfort ride, cbr4. pgm ah, troublesome with 2t lah. :)

Btw I passed by First Motor at Ubi just now and saw 2 G4 bikes (FK and FL plates) both black in color and both had GSXR 600 '06 model fairings installed on them. Kinda cool wasted I never take any pics. Sigh... I miss my G4...

where's your g4 liao?

Doing some major repairing work at the bikeshop due to my accident. Hmmm dunno how long she will stay in the bikeshop pending insurance claims etc

its been quite awhile alrdy...

 

Yeap let the shop take their time to do up the bike swee swee den take out however if wanna take out first then must pay cash first afterwhich will add to the claims. Hmmm no rush ah I still got my RXZ enjoying relax riding :thumb:

if you are able to get a real cheap g4, you still gota fork out some cash to do it up. only depends on how serious only. when your cash run out & its still sick, you will sell off cheap. but when a good g4 is for sale more than 2k, pple say he mad. so far i dont think anyone here has got a cheap & good g4. cheap as in 1k. so do count your $ wisely.:thumb:

of course expensive doesnt mean good. what the bros here are telling you is that - dont be put off by a high asking price. go and see what has been done with the bike first.

it all depends on what needs to be replace cos some parts all hard to find & ex. like engine, fork, rotor. rotor i changed 2nd hand for 1 pair alrdy $200. sparkplug cap set $190+. tires 1pair $230. forkseal $60. just these normal wear & tear alrdy $600+. if reali rebuid a g4 will cost you @ least thousands. recently i got a frend member here oso just found a $900 g4, spend $2k in jb to rebuild its engine. anyway, gd luck to you. hope you join the g4 family soon.
