coolent reservoir. look underneath it & u'll see 2 markings for low & high.

when your bike is cool, just fill up your coolent somewhere in between the 2 markings will do.

Up to you. u can either top it up or u can drain away the old one and pour in new ones, if u super 'on', u can drain the entire system and flush it and pour fresh coolent but i wouldnt recommend this on an old bike though.

 

i cant really say which to use is better as there are lots of debates, and lots of people have been shot down for saying the wrong things Normally these are what people have been pouring into their bikes.

1. tap water

2. de-ionised water

3. coolent that u have to mix with tap water, or de-ionised water.

4. pre-mixed coolent

5. or those brands advertised here.

although it does sound cheap, but u have to know what kind of servicing are they are actually doing for you. u have to find out in more detail.

 

got change engine oil? what type of engine oil? mineral oil,semi-syn, fully-syn? huge difference in price for the 3 basic types of oil. mineral oil cost less then 5 bucks and fully syn more then 14bucks per bottle. u'll need 3 bottles.

 

(i dunt think they know what they are saying) wash valve? for 2strokes yes, but ive not heard before anybody doin this for this bike, but checking of valve clearance and adjusting it is quite expensive in sg.

 

got change spark plugs? what type of spark plugs? he might put in anything from those champion plugs that lab gives for free to those as expensive as stock ngk plugs. huge price difference since u need 4 spark plugs.

 

got change oil filter? stock should roughly 12-15dollars. chiong ones are alot cheaper.

air filter bout $20 also

carb washing and tuning $35

valve clearance bout $45

plugs $10 each X4 (again if u fing it expensive, use ur own)

the price u pay in malaysia, wun get u anything.... their so called wash carb and tuning costs only $35 at guan hoe... valve clearance, i doubt they'll do a good job.... it's not as easy as it seems.... $45 at guanhoe... total only $80... go think bout it.... the whole of malaysia only has less than 5 gsxr 400.... wat makes u think the mech will do a good job???

Btw, is the rear suspension adjustable? I feel mine a bit too soft and bouncy.

wah lau!sianz.juz now i kana fine on the rd by tp at balestier coz i remove my mudguard.i juz respray 2days ago n was goin to fix back tomoro.damn suay(kana $50). luckily he stop me when i was at 2nd lane.coz i paste my pipe wif carbon fibre sticker.haha.btw izi legal?damn the tp!i was riding 60km n still he wanna catch me.

spark plugs 10... u gotta tell him the poor student story and he'll give u a good price... yuppers... did my valve clearance there when i changed my gaskets... so since opened, might as well do...

I feel my bike handling a bit weird, suspecting the steering cone. Will the steering spoil or just the bearings? Anyone change b4? How much is it?

Min got scales on it that reads 1 to 7 if I remeber correctly.

Is it possible for the rear suspension to leak oil like the front suspension.

Feel that mine is stiffer than b4.
