I just encountered this last nite.. seems like hor, when I throttle up to RPM4, then the bike a bit slack a bit then I throttle some more then a bit hard to hear him roar.. like going this way... 4...5...4......5......6.7..

This normal? If carb dirty hor, then how come since last tuesday when I first rode him legally, it was smooth all the way leh?

The bike tired issit cos I have been running him all around including 3 trips to JB since I got him one week ago?

Or issit, the bike dont like me?

Any similiar encounter?

Please help.

What I meant was, it's not a smooth throttle up the RPMs.

Around 4000 rpm to 5000rpm, somehow it decrease a bit (can feel it on the bike) then it start to pick up again and repeat the process for every throttling move.

That's what I meant. Sorry

And, when you guys lowbeam, is it just one lightbulb or both lightbulb lights up? I just changed mine to new sets and still same. Only one lights up for low beam but both lights up for high beam.

Thank you guys

could be ure spark plug, ure air filter or ure carb need to service, see which one u hav not done. low beam or high beam both lights together.

agreed wif peter... spark plug faulty or either spark plug's cover use to cover it. forget wad it's called liao..heee air filter dirty or carb. old bike liao..must service until it's healthy back on road again~ last time when my G4 also same pattern like urs NAZ bro. the problem is my plug's cover n plugs. the cover causing the plugs to be faulty.

As for the headlights, either the sockets or wiring for that certain bulb is faulty. headlights small problem.

Start from the basic, dont go change this and that and in the end problem not solve.

1. Check the connection of the carb to engine is tight

2. Check if your fuel and vacumm hose is kinked

3. Check if your header screws are loose, 1 of mine loosen and fall off, after I remedy engine is smoother.

4. Check spark plugs

5. Check air filter

6. Check if carb is balance (need to have special equipment)

If all check ok, I suspect its carburetor, strip and clean up. Check for worn out parts at the same time.

Anyway if you need spares for the spark plug cap and the dust covers, I have a complete set accept for the spark plug cable.

S750WP: hi Gary! When you free? I wanna try ur chain looper which loops 2 side of the chain.!

I have 2 types of oiler to control the oil flow on/off

1. By squeeze bottle so far the best, better control, and not messy.t squeeze and ride.

2. On/off valve at the handle bar, currently used on my G4, control is not so good as you wont know when residue of oil will drip. On then off the valve for approx 1 min.

Ooo guys. Thanks for the prompt reply (always!)

I just got back from JB (again).

Realised that everything is ok when I use low beam. These past few days have been on high beam all the way cos the only one headlight that lights up when it's low beam is blown.

:btw: Carb servicing, other than Guan Hoe and Planet, is there other places where errr I don't need to wait so long?

(pardon me please, I am just being a S'porean)

Yea just squeeze the oil bottle for the oil to flow to the dispenser reservoir. And oil will start to flow down to the applicators then the sprockets. Oil on the sprocket will migrate to the rollers on the chain and o-rings by centrifugal force when bike is running.

You can choose to place the oil bottle anywhere you want, I chose nearer to the applicator because the time for the oil to flow to the sprockets is much faster.

How long it drips depends how much oil you squeeze to the dispenser reservoir.

The on/off valve type works exactly the same as the squeeze bottle except to control the on/off with a valve. Just on the valve for a minute then off it, oil will flow from the oil bottle to the dispenser reservoir.

But the con is oil at the delivery tubing from oil bottle to the dispenser reservoir is unpredictable. Not sure when it will drip by itself after the valve is off, resulting in a small puddle of oil beside the bike after oiling the change.

I will post a pic if possible, it will be clearer.
