its not a problem. its caused by the floating discs .... for most of the bikes due to old age the floating discs tend to be slightly loose. if u try to shake the disc left n right you will find that they will move slightly. tats wad causes the sound but no worries......its part of the design of the bike

It might be one of the causes. It could be the steering cone also. The disc after so many years tends to be loose/shaky but can be pressed at guan hoe.

Be prepared for the worst. A damaged CDI. In event like this. Unplug ur headlight socket cos they suck in electricity like nothing. This will give ur starter more juice. Then if you wana test. unplug ur plug cap from under ur tank. Hold it near the frame and try starting. If you see a spark jump. Then congrats. CDI still okay. If no spark. Then buy buy. If you listen closely. U can hear the spark without taking out plugcaps.

thanks for the reply...i went to a shOP n ask...they say its the brake disc....but they says its nuthing,..dun care abt it...if wanna change..it cost around 500+ ..tats wad he told me..brake disc so Expensive!!!i found out later aLso...when i press my front brake..the sound came ! if dun press no sound...shld be the disc pro...i got another problem..when i press my front brake hard!! a sound came..its like something hitting the fairing!!!slowly press front brake no sounds.but if u brake hard the sound came.u repeat the braking.it came again.which means once u brake hard the sound comes out!even when the road got a small hole or wad...or when u go pass uneven road..the sound will comes too!something hit fairing like tat...wonder whats happening!!!!anyone knows...by the way...oil seal cost around 10 plus right?? oil seal spoilt causes black oil to drip out right...somebody help me!! thanks!!

Please be reminded that sometimes We forgot to ON the kill switch on the right side (RED COLOR) before starting the bike. Sometimes it's the starter motor, if no power at all, it would be your fuse(under seat) that blows. another thing s that, there might be fault at the wiring just behind the RPM that is not connected properly.... sometime the wire may be burnt out due to extensive current flow that melts the connection

Steering cone feels slightly diff. in the event of a worn out steering cone, you can feel the handle bar move abit forward when you use the front brakes. you will hear a knocking sound rather than a tick tack sound.

Hmmm, do you feel you r handle bar move slightly forward when you brake hard?

from wad you mention i reckon its the steeing cone thats worn out. you juz try riding at your carpark n braking relatively hard using front brakes only. if you can feel the handle bar jerking forward den its your steering cone for sure.

gone above 1/4 or 1/3 at all.

normal road use seldom exceed 1/3 of the gauge.

the most ive ever hit on normal roads was during a long jam at customs, only 1/2 of the guage. fans not on yet.

hit 3/4 of the gauge on track, only noticed the fan was on when i returned to the pit.

anYone kNows..How much does an oil seal cost!!! by the way ARC fire!! i notice whats wrong!! lolz..its the brake caliper..!!! 1 screw came out!!!!which results in the sound when i use my front brake!!! oh my god...suddenly den know 1!!!haha..its done! all sound is gones..phews....tht wad big thing happen!! nearly scared me to death!! i tht i might need to spend again..by the way black oil leaking...drip down from the bike stand...sianz...think oil seal spoilt!! cost around 10+ right????

u mean the oil is leaking from engine or the suspension?

gaskets or oil seals for either are relatively cheap, but u still have to pay for the new oil or workmanship for either job .

brand new CDI from KS is $400

if u were to buy from guan hoe,... its gonna amount to that 500-600plus depending on model. i was quoted $500plus for R model & $600plus for a P model cdi.

 

if u were to get from KS & install yourself, roughly $400. But of cos u dun get the extra assurance which u would get from guan hoe is that if u buy liao still cannot start,u waste $400.

thats bad, u should get a friend to lift your bike perpendicular to the ground and check the level of your engine oil is enough before you start bike & ride to the mech.

 

u might have to get your gaskets replaced. 3 bottles of engine oil as well, unless u wanna reuse the remainder which isnt such a good idea. Not cheap...

i went to the mech once alreadyz....he told me is oil seal leaking....i dun really know how to see also...since the mech says so...nO choice!! lOlzz
