reshape of the fairings . for example our g4's tail is very boxy , you can go mould the tail fairing to make it sharp .

i dun really like the fairings on our bikes - esp tail and the front. not streamlined enough

haha hi powiee! hmm if i pass 2A i may start looking for g4 also.. btw worksmanship on the k4 tail was not bad only thing was make sure u get your mech to change the screws(which secure the license plate bracket) to bigger ones.. otherwise could end up like wad happen to me last time.

 

ermm last time was quoted 400 plus without paintwork, but remember to specify every detail u want the tail to be, to Mr Lim because u R paying gd money for moulding. Specifying wont cost extra, but special mods will:) mm lastly make sure he tells u whether he hacks off the end of the frame and whether he changes the position of any parts(eg. cdi etc..) or if he removes any of them. cos last time my sp had the end of the sub frame hacked off, no 2T tank. end up i used coolant reserve as 2T tank n sunkist bottle for coolant. oops off topic!

 

anyway G4 seems to have lots of space so shudnt be a prob ba. after u choose design he'll prob ask u to come back a few weeks later then u must push ur bike into the lift(yes the lift) opposite first motor to the 4th level n make ur way to the corner workshop.

just to add on, inspection wise(yes it is a headache) i sent mine to my bikeshop n they settled inspection easily but had to pay a little extra. best is go mould ur g4 into k4 undertray, Single seat, plus k4 saitao so that u can fool the rov:P

ouhkie guys. time for me to do my finance calculation.

 

how much do you think insurance for 19yr old riding FM plate g4, for 2nd party? now cant put in older rider. they still take in the yougest rider name. so anyone can help me?

I'd rather get a Leo Vince than a Louis Vuitton.

hi dude the fastest way to answer your question is to just call up the respective insurance companies. they'll do the math for you.

heheh syarif u remind me of me last time when i wanted to buy G4 :cheeky:

 

not sure abt the carbs but i did read in the earlier pages of this forum of riders having to replace their CDIs. personally tho i haven't had any problems with my own bike.

 

machine price - our bikes are arguably the cheapest among the 400cc, no contest when u limit it to the sportsbikes. prices range from $900 to $2.5k. They usually hover around 2k for a decent bike. personally i have no idea why its so cheap, even after taking into account the age and COE's been renewed. for instance FK plate is usually '93

 

insurance - like i said, call the insurance companies. no need call all, maybe call mitsui and ntuc. you may need the plate number of a bike for accurate quotes. if not just tell them its a FK-FL plate and the age of the bike and tt should be enough

 

road tax - bloody expensive to me. $105 for 6 mths, double for a year's worth.

 

transfer fees - $52

 

EO can use semi or fully. for old bike semi is ok as long as you replace regularly. of course fully is best but not really worth the buck

 

minimum octane to use is 95 according to the manual (according to a quote in this forum)

 

tyres - can use wat other 400cc bikes use. mine is sportec M3. can't remember how much i paid tho sorry. hehe just go HKL website to get an estimate of prices. not promoting the workshop, just saying its a source to see the market price so u dun get chopped when ur workshop quotes a price. ask for rebalancing when u replace both tyres, if they dun wan walk away. actually ride away lah, very stupid to leave ur bike there.

 

workshops - guan hoe and planet have their respective fans here. both workshops known for friendly service so just see which one is nearer your place.

Spent alot of my GSXR yesterday, had to tune the bike, change most of the parts inside the carbs, wash it, change the sparks, change the spark plug caps, etc. In total paid $372, but was worth every cent, bike runs like new again!

Need Help nw.. jus change my batt tis morning and my bike cant seems to start nw.. start le and will die off.. is it the retifier spoilt or wat?

Use a voltmeter to test your batt and connections of your rectifier.

Bro if u were to get a gd CHAIN & SPROCKET set....it can cost even more then $200....
