Hey guys, any idea how much it would cost to change all the nuts and bolts and screws on the bike? Was washing the bike and one of the screws just came off. Upon further inspection, i realised that it was rusted and it just gave way. Gace way as in the end is still in the hole but the head broke off. Wouldnt want any parts dropping off while riding. Hopefully it doesnt crumble away. I know i am very drama.

 

Any shops that would change all the nuts and bolts that hold the fairing together an to the bike?

hmm can try auntie shop....im planning 2 change my screws 2 alan keys...4 easier dismantling in future...i think around $20 2 change...

hey g4 bros, i've recently changed my entire chargin circuit on my G4 3-4mths back and i've realized that my voltage for my battery has dropped below 12V a few days ago.. seems like my batt is dyin..

 

i wanna ask u guys how often does ur a rectifier spoil on a g4 and what causes it to spoil so often??

ohh, but i spent like more than $600+ to change the entire chargin circuit plus a new batt... magnetic coil, rectifier, pulsar coil, batt, starter motor.

$600+ maybe you can bring it back to the shop and get it checked. Im sure the will have a better understanding and they can advise you from there.

 

Anyone else interested in changing all their nuts and bolts and screws to the ALAN KEY type? I thought of going down tomorrow.

Done @ Auntie Shop. Have to say that the young mechanic at the shop was very helpful and friendly. And paid attention to the fairings not to damage them while replacing them. $1/- per nut & bolt with $20 service charge.

 

Also changed my headlight bulbs to H7 (White) ones which cost $15/- each. Again have to compliment him of doing a good job at connecting the wires and concealing them.

 

Bike is all done up. Wont be spraying it (DIY) coz i will have to take the fairings apart again. Shall leave it as it is for now. Anyone interested in ordering stickers from overseas? I will search and find a supplier then maybe we can order in bulk together.

Laquer Laquer is more important than the Paint. A Superb Quality Laquer will make ur PaintWerk looks Top Class.

So we spray the bike ourselves with the colour we want then send the firing for laquer? Cool... Now to find a shop that will do that. The our bikes how? Ride with no fairing? Coz we can only remove the side fairings. As for the headlights and tail cannot coz the bike will be un-rideable. Please advise Mr Rain...

Anyone know what the purpose of the extra piece of plastic is for thaat i have seen some sports bikes have that go over their existing headlights? Its like a protective 2nd layer but theres a 2cm gap from the headlight and this covering. And its the same colour as their fairing. Quite interesting. But its semi-transparent. Day time looks like theres no headlight and night time the light can shine through.

 

Anyways, using H7 white bulbs on my bike now. And realize that the front gets super hot. The transparent plastic on the headlight i mean. Is that normal? Whats H7??? There are other H numbers too i noticed displayed at the shop. But the mechanic recommended H7. Please help me understand...

Guess th only place to obtain original fairing is the junkyard. The number can be found on the forum. As for you temp gauge, maybe u can try changing to the new auto gauges, i have seen them selling for bikes.

it's called headlight protector. To protect ur headlight from breaking or cracking due to stone hits. You can try ask motovation accessory if they have for gsx4.
