KS motor is located at 127 jalan besar...u know lim ah boy right...u exit from regina there...then KS motor is located opposite the first bus stop u see after u exit...as for guan hoe..its located at eunos ave 3 blk 1043...eh rodney..still using ur yoshi?..if not sell me leh...i sianz of my exhaust already...and i don't wanna tong it...wanna keep one original and use another after market pipe

how many litres can the tank hold + reserve?

which direction of the switch is to reserve, which to close fuel?

how do we know all 4 plugs are working?

where can i find spreparts for it as its quite a old model?

any of you do full service in jb? how much it costs??

if any of you guys living in west willing to come out to tell me more about it, dinner, kopi on me!!!!

how many litres can the tank hold + reserve?

 

- It'll be good if your bike can hit 240km before reserve.

 

which direction of the switch is to reserve, which to close fuel?

 

- Arrow facing the front of your bike means reserve tank, arrow down means normal and arrow facing back of the bike means you're flooding the carb. Should be... Fellow riders do correct me if i made a mistake.

 

how do we know all 4 plugs are working?

 

- Best to get you mech to check when you just change your plugs. You'll just know when your 4 plugs are not firing.

 

where can i find spreparts for it as its quite a old model?

 

- Try Guan Hoe at Paya Lebar area.

 

any of you do full service in jb? how much it costs??

spare parts can get from KS motors or guan hoe..i have posted the address in previous posts...u can check it out...the tank can hold 17litres...u cannot close the fuel..there's only "on", "reserve" and "prime"...if u are new to the bike..u can go down to guan hoe to check if all ur plugs are working..alternatively...u can judge by listening to the sound..when u throttle..the sound that u hear is not smooth and consistent...if not all 4 plugs are working..ur bike's pick up will be crappy..top speed i think around 160km/hr or less...hope it helps

squirt on the exhaust headers. if one plug is not firing, the headers will not be as evenly hot.

got meh, depends if on the condition of the bike, but if that happens, its because old already mah....

 

rectifier need 2 change 2gether with coil & battery..can easily cost around $500....

 

its not an recurring problem and once repaired, d rectifier should not spoil for quite a long time

coz i heard ppl saying tat the rectifier of g4 always spoil 1... so quite scare... like the sound of a g4... but always spoil i oso bth liao... my fren g4 rectifier 1 yr spoil 4x sia...

yup yup...got home and installed it immediately...the sound is bassy...but i think my bro's one sounds more powerful and his got the ooppfm will try out the pipe tmr when i'm going down to sch =) need to clear some carbon man...the carbon build up in the pipe is really wootz..haha

let me answer all the questions once and for all.

 

rectifier doesnt need to change together with the battery provided yr battery is able to charge up cos normally when yr rectifier spoils, yr battery will be flat. so far i change rectifier once only and its still serving me well ! and according to ah chong, our bike's magnetic coil is EVERLASTING which means it wont gets faulty/spoilt ! price of rectifer depends on yr luck, if can find second handed ones will be cheaper..

 

regarding top speed, mine tested 170+, still can go ...

 

and yat u sold yr yoshi? haha ! i also sold mine alr ! how much u sold it for ?

160km/h or less is when only 3 or lesser spark plugs is working...i have tried mine up to 200km/hr...if i'm not wrong..prime means letting the petrol flood ur carb...don think u need to use that..happy riding G4
