Hi there, New G4 rider here, just got my Suzuki on 1st Nov 2008.

After riding it for 2 days straight, I got a cramped neck.

I have already heard that the riding position is a racing position, so I am prepared for this.

But what I would like to know is, how do you all normally ride to minimize the strain?

I so feel like putting a pillow on the tank, so that I can rest my head on it when I ride.... :dozed:

i usually rest my elbow on the tank when i ride long dist. or u could try using your legs to hug the tank tighter. helps a little with the strain

Or then again when your neck hurts you can just rev till high speed freehand and massage your neck :) its damn stable

since SPchoo recommended a few dangerous methods to ease the strain..i shall recommend safer methods..haha...go get a good full face helmet with good aerodynamics...that can reduce the strain on ur neck especially when u're travelling fast...anyway...welcome to the G4 club! :thumb:

no need.

you are talking about the area where the end can slots into the header, right?

if you regularly patronize Planet Motor, there is this hardware shop that does welding, as well as sell metal tubing. bring your exhaust there, as well as the piece thats broken off, and find a similar sized tube. ask him to saw off the excess and weld another tube to the exhaust.

cheap too. 10 bucks was all i paid.

do ensure that its straight though.if its not straight, theres a chance that the exhaust will hit the swingarm.

if u look at the suzuki word at the bott of the bike... that is the place that the silver exhaust fits into the black exhaust outlet right ?

the silver part that is inserted into the black exhaust outlet totally broke off

haha. so is that what u were talking about spai_duhz ?

where is this hardware shop btw ? beside planet motor ?

Already wearing Rjays flip up.... :sian:

I think need to tie a helium balloon to the helmet to hold the head up liao...

Failing that I guess I will look for a nice pillow to rest on while I ride.

Hey guys, do you all experience this...

Do you get a Red Oil warning light when you clutch in when riding for long distance?

I was riding and free wheeling towards a red light yesterday after the oil change, and experienced this.

But the low oil level warning light went off as soon as I let go of the clutch.

Happened twice.

Funny thing was that clutch in at traffic lights/changing gears ok, no Red oil warning light.
