yeah man its about securing ur precious ride to deter thieves from stealing it.. Be it with alarms or bicycle chains coz once ur ride is gone it'll be too late

hehehe, also next time can transfer to other bike too. :)

Life is good.

i'm using the normal 1-way talking alarm, now if i'm not wrong its $58. i think 2-way is not really needed...:thumb:

yeah..same here..i'm quite skeptical bout the 2 way alarm..is the transmitting range anywhere near 5000km as stated on the box?...coz eventually if u park ur bike at ur capark..and it cannot transmit info to ur pager...then it won't be useful anymore..i'm using a 1 way alarm on my bike..got it fix at msia for RM90..i can hear my bike's alarm from my house which is bout 12 storeys away and its a multi storey carpark...and i can arm and disarm my bike from that distance too..anyway..have u guys tried ur alarm..like deliberate start ur bike while it is armed..can ur bike be started or its immobilised?

If you can arm or disarm ur bike from the range, then should be no problem for the 2-way range. I am parking in a open car park, and i am staying 2 blocks away at second level. still can receive in my room. ;)

when my bike is armed, and i try to start the alarm will sound off. about 20 sec, if i dun disarm it, the engine will cut off and i cannot start anymore unless i disarm the alarm.

also, if i never arm and the bike is running, i can press a button to cut off the engine and the bike cannot start anymore too (anti-hijack)

or can just remote cut off the engine, but still can start again.

I find that this alarm is quite useful.

hmmm... seems like a very worthy investment...

just a check... do u guys do the alarm installation yourselves?

cos if not next time how to transfer to another bike?

right, remote start not advisible. 1-way oso can but i never connect. just make sure bike shake, alarm goes off. its enough to scare the fcuker off.

2-way will be better so as to alert you when the alarm sounds off. ;)

hahaha it depends on whether you think is worth it or not. :)

but by the time you reach your bike, you think the guy will still be standing ard there? it will only make you busier...

just let it go on for 20sec, will stop liao.

1 thing not good is if you are gg for long holiday, disconnect the wires cos batt will be drained faster than w/o alarm.

Nowadays our bikes are becoming near to extinct as such the prices for such spart parts are escalated. Sometimes agents are no better off. Since we are walk in customers rather than bikeshops that order parts in bulk, agents tend to charge walk in customers a higher price. Imagine our bike rectifier a bikeshop quote me 120 includes installation whereas the agent quoted me 148 without installations!

Maybe all G4 riders in here should get together and make an agreement with one bikeshop to have our bikes serviced or parts changed there. Just my 2 cents worth. At least the bikeshop would have a steady stream of customers from us G4 riders. I did this when I was riding my rxz. I made an agreement with a bikeshop at jb for all my rider pals to go there and do up their bikes at a discounted cheap rate! Just something to think about.

Anyone knows where I can recon the header?

It looks rusty and old. Is it possible to polish it back to shinning again? :p

Wonder how much would it cost.
