hi i taking my tp in 3 days time and i have a gixxer on lay up..

 

the thing is i wanna know if there is any other after market mod for the bike.

like rvf has yoshi full system. does gixxer have the equivalent??

 

if not may i ask wat are the things i can do to make my gixxer go faster???

I don't think there is any mod except for jetting. If I am not wrong factory pro got jet kit for bandit which can be used on gsxr too. You can check with looi's motor.

 

Otherwise, just spend the rest of the money on replacing the old parts is more than enough for you.

u can get a hi flo air filter....then change ur exhaust pipe..but exhaust pipe i think 95% illegal...hard to find legal one...somemore hard to find one that is meant for our bike..most likely u'll need to mod it...so if u're getting a 2nd hand pipe..make sure u check that the pipe is not meant for class 2 but mod to fit our bike..else instead of getting additional HP...u'll get lesser HP..can consider getting hel brake hose since our bike brake lines are kinda old already..ur braking will improve significantly

I think you can get it at LAB shop, DIY. remove your seat and change the battery yourself. save the labour cost.

I brought mine like $45...if I remember correctly. (not sure from which country)

Then we need two for our gsxr400. Does it obstruct the flow rate?

hey guys..anyone of u interested in getting gsxr400 parts number book? its in japanese...but as described...it has got the parts number to take reference...it also consists of assembly drawing on where the parts should be at and the quantity..assembly drawings and parts number are for all mechanical..electrical and frame/bodywork...its selling at $20 a copy...its quite useful if u guys are into D.I.Y...can also get it if u just want to know more bout your bike =)

Im using yuasa battery but im not sure the made of but i think its should be japan cos there are japanese writings on it. bought it at planet motors for $65.

haha...yeah...only not sure whether its authentic japan made yuasa..last time when i was riding SP..i got my brake pad from LAB...and the most amazing thing happened...while braking halfway the brake pad flew out...luckily still got rear brake and its traffic light else bang onto the car infront

First-Ever Cross Threads Outing

 

Introduction:

It had always been a practice in sbf for each thread to organise their own outings and gatherings.

And it hit upon me that instead of keeping to one thread/one make of bike, why not widen our circles and meet riders of similar interest?

 

As a first attempt to organise a cross-threads outing, we are inviting riders of all make, types, classes of bikes, with the link posted in krr150, nsr150sp/rr, tzm150, cbr150, babymitto, rs125, r125, nsr250, rs250, babyblade, rvf400, gsxr400, zx4, m2b threads; covering most 2b/a sportsbikes.

 

Main objective of this gathering/outing is for riders of different threads to meet each other, widening friendships, and have fun! =)

 

Althought link is posted only in above mentioned threads, feel free to invite friends who are riding other bikes as well.

 

Once again emphasizing this is an open-to-all-bikes event.

From past experiences, we decided to keep exact locations unknown to all first.

 

Activities would be late dinner/supper, followed by riding to a nice scenic popular hangout for couples, before punching card at that well know place for engines.

It will be on a saturday's night, and we will be expecting quite a big turn-up. Thus all hot-spots would be avoided, in our routes and destinations. Time on hot-roads will be minimized. Special parking place will be allocated. To minimize risk, card-punching would be the last destination; as late as possible.
