What had i done to my bike ... tires battlex new ones ... both .. brake cables metal ones forget what brand .... err .. the rest u guys see it your self

btw guys after u ride will ur idling remain higher than slowly drop back

cause my idling is 1.5 than after riding than it remain at 2 ... than it become very hot ... wad the problem ar ....

 

same. i set my idling at 1.25-1.5. after i blast the bike and stop at a junction, the bike rev up to 2.0+/-. then from there i re tune back to 1.25-1.5. after that not so bad but still can see the needle move but not up to 2.0. wonder why..is it the valve.

1st of all, welcome you to g4 family!! still remember me?

the 1 you mentioned above may be spark plug set go in water. can try by on engine running, spray water on the sparkplug 1 by 1 to chk. mine was like that. in the rain like no pwer cos water go in. if the plug cover is spolit, electric will run out. i got mine fixed @ guanhoe. i think got 3mths warranty.

1 more thing, g4 is easlier to start when cold. if warmed up liao, when you press start, gota rev abit. g4 fuel go to carb by "air".

 

yup. absolutely true especially after a heavy rain or cold weather. Crank once and it will start but when it turns hot, need to crank a bit longer, then rev a bit. not a major or minor problem at all.

if u're lucky..u'll probably be running on 3 spark plugs..else u'll be running on 2 or less which is really bad..not only will u have super poor pickup and super unstable idling..ur top speed will be badly affected too...as for hurting ur engine..i think it will...coz its supposed to be a "4 men job"...then u are throwing it to "2-3 men" to do it...quite xiong right

actually i think its possible to make a fuel gauge...there's aftermarket one also...but i think josh is referring to engine oil pressure gauge..not sure bout that though..yeah...guan hoe is quite reasonable and they list down everythign clearly...$50 for a brand new start stop switch or $50 for the right hand side switch set? coz i think the brand new left hand side switch set cost alot more than that..like $100+

 

yup, its an engine oil pressure gauge. alot more accurate then just a stupid red oil indicator. seriously man, when that red indicator lights up ( if it ever, due to low engine oil) its maybe too late. the sight glass at the side only tells you if there is engine oil. dosen't tell you whether the pressure is enough or not.

 

i got the gauge, juz waiting for the machine shop to finish the double banjo and 1/8 npt female fitting.

 

as for fuel gauge ya you can probably install something like

tune your idling aft your bike is hot!! mean you ride for awhile alrdy, b4 off engine, you tune it to rpm1k. i did like that, now hot alrdy, its @ rpm1k.

I've been riding my bike now for quite a few months and have noticed that sometimes my bike can feel this flooding feeling when I go wot it will sound like its bogging down. It dosent happen always but when it does it kinda annoying. I shift at 5 to 6k rpms.

 

Anyone have the same thing happen to them? Is it cause of the carb getting flooded?

mine only 180+km hit reserve alrdy. i mostly travel on 8rpm. most can hit over 200km... i'm used to it alrdy...

when you wot, what rpm? i think if rpm too low then you wot, the response will be like once it hit high rpm then it will suddenly shoot.

i full throttle at 6k onwards. all the way to 10k. then must rev a few times then it clears.

malaysia ey, long time never go there do bike ever since i got my G4. Btw, which shop you go? Can find parts there? thinking of changing some parts for my G4.
