Q: my spec 3 makes a whining sound at speeds above 70kmh. Anyone knows the problem?

Hi guys, 2 days ago I took apart my headlight to fix the screw holding the headlight, simple step however after that I switched on my bike, nothing came on, IU not working, no lights, ignition doesn't work, basically the whole electrical system is down. Tried push starting, doesn't work too. Can't be battery cause I was riding the bike 30mins before, it should still contain decent amt of charge. Suspecting is the main fuse blow. Anyone got other ideas on what's happening? And anyone knows how many amps main fuse is?

 

Main fuse 30 Amp

 

The rest is 10Amp each

Guys, need some help. A few probs on my spec2.

 

1) Fuel doesnt reached above 200km for fulltank. Everything was alright until i met with accident. Anyone can clarify?

 

2) Batt drained out fast. 2days never start, batt down to 9volt. But ex owner claimed that coil n rec all have been changed before he sold off his bike. Can it be due to earthing? Or Wiring fault?

 

Can anyone give a helping hand??

Take a Multimeter n test the charging state of your bike..

 

(See the battery voltage/ idle n ect )

whining sound like wind sound? engine sound? exhaust sound?

if ur petrol consumption is bad only after you met with an accident you have to go to shop to check. there is too many possibility and can only be determined after checking physically.

 

do you have things that is running while ur bike is parked? like thief alarm? Also batt wun be able to hold as much power as compared to when they are new so a new coil or rect can't help too.

I'm helping a friend from overseas look for a workshop manual for a Honda cb 400 super four fn2 1992.

Might be tough to find, but would be happy if I could get it photocopied also.

 

Need it in English, and any copy for a version r or s model, up to 1996 will do fine.

 

Greatly appreciate any help with this, or if you know of a shop or garage that could be of assistance. Thanks!

After install led at my meter, after I ride for a period of time, when I turn abit throttle, my water temperature indicator will blind blind then gone. Then it happens when I down gear too! What's happening?! Help please!

If you're refering to the lamp, yes it can. I'm using spec 3 headlamp.
