thanks for the info.

i think ill change the tyres definitely, not sure about the fork. im pretty simple just need the bike, for transport and maybe resell to upgrade if 2A, so dont want to do too much mods.

but now everyday rains, and can rain all of a sudden. very unpredictable weather affecting bikers. btw, now rain so much, need to do any extra maintenance for bike?

also got to do any monthly maintenance? i have it for one month, but riding it sparingly (partly due to frequent rain). now only got ~350 km mileage on it. need to lube chains or do stuff?

yeah you should lube it.since it's been a month already.and if i happen to rain in heavy rain/rain i would look at the chains to check if lube is needed. LOL hard to explain but you can see the chain like dry dry like that.then ar! need lube. LOL

Hello all bro n sis!!! I nid some advice... Currently planning to buy a first habd R15 but i hav a few question running throught my mind.. i hope all bro n sis will b able to help me:)

1) How is the speed? ( Faster den ? bike and slower den ? bike amoung the 2B range )

2) What is the price now? ( If anybody know it will b a great help )

3) Has the bike give any problem since bought?

4) How is the pick-up and what is the top speed?

5) I heard that FC is 40km per 1L but must maintain at what speed to archive tt FC?

6) If install a after market pipe will it boast its speed?

Lastly i would lik to thank those who helped in providing all these information! N hope that Bro n Sis frm this thread would help me:) Thank u all, Thank u so much!

1) In terms of speed, you can't exactly say the R15 is faster or slower than other types of bike. Cause if I'm going head-to-head with a KR, if my balls are bigger than his, I can always hit a higher speed than him. =) But normally, that can't be achieved la cause a 4-stroke can never outrun a 2-stroker..

2) Current price, you can always call up the various shops to enquire..by doing that, you have a better overview of the market price. You can't rely on us cause the price we got back then is different from now.

3) Nope. Its still a relatively new bike. Just for the record, my mileage is now in the 30,000 km and this is my 10th month riding it. So far, no problems. Of course, problems will occur if you don't take care/maintain your bike, be it an old or a new bike.

4) Pick-up is so-so..just need to change a few aftermarket parts, then the acc is satisfactory.

5) Yup. Around 40-43km/litre for me. A lot of factors come into play: correct tyre pressure, not over-revving etc etc. You can't exactly say "if I ride @ 80km/h everytime than my FC will be as much"..

6) I'm sure you'd gain that couple of extra kmh..but don't expect it to FLY like a class 2A or class 2 bike... lol

hey guys!! new to this forum. just got my R15 in black , love the ride man. was wondering if should i change the stock tyres?? and any ideas on where i can lower down my monoshock,...tiptoeing on the bike urh.

Posted

Stock tyre must change in my opinion. Works good on dry condition but very slippery on wet carparks. Pay more for better tyre. It's costly la but safety more important right?

Just for info, R15 frame is the same as FZ15. So you can add the main stand. A lot easier to lube the chain after that.
