My God! And I thought Travis is being too too inpatient.

You deposit for a new bike that have yet to come or.. from what I read is that the bike is already there and it's a 2nd hand?

I do know some bike shop will ask you to pay a deposit, but yet they will sell off that same bike at the first opportunity. If the bike is under their name, that is probably a pre-own bike? Cause it is not registered but yet under their name.. a little ironic ah?

I don't think they will let other people test the bike since from what I like to believe. You ordered a brand new bike which they will only bring in when you down paid, adjust, groom and test for you before letting you ride home. The ODO meter will not go wrong.

Deposit = price fixed and agree.

Die also dont compromise if your bike shop ask for top-up of additional money.

Anyway.. Dude. You shouldn't deposit too early. But I wish you well! :D

The breakdown of my bike

machine + IU + Roadtax + reg + GST + COE + No. plate = 7600

Insurance = 2nd party

COE = 2013

That price you've got is what I've hear of. Reasonable.

Eh eh what impatient?! Haha.

Hi, Newbie here, Ordered my R15(red) today... Paid 1K deposit...

For bike and everything else, quoted $8.4K (IU, GST.etc) just excluding insurance...

Insurance is around 1.8K for TPFT...

Quoted $700 more for full system GPR exhaust.

Am i getting Chopped? Cause The bike havent been registered yet... (Still under their name) Will only register it once i pass TP (2months) and collect it... Will they let other ppl test ride it?

Freebies

Helmet, Raincoat, Bike cover.

Please advice! :) :cheeky:

I don't think I am the best person but I can give some opinion :)

Someone told me that the odometer can be reseted. So you got to check the chassis number on the LTA website to check when was it first registered.

From there you will be able to determine is it a used or brand new bike.

Rusted parts can suggest that the bike could have been brought in and place for a long long time, no doubt it is 'untouched' hence considered brand new.

Check out for any visible scratches, wear and tear. Tyre wise is it very dirty and used. Any oil spillage, sign of oil demarkation.

That is all that I can offer. Maybe the senior here would like to add on a little also :)

Registration fee, IU, GST, road tax are standard rate.

I will PM you the break down.

Thanks foxin, got the pm now. Hmmm... for the chassis number, where can i find it? Sry for the noobie questions...

The screws might get rusty if the bike is left in the rain when parked @ the shop... Just look at the log card bro... can ask the bike shop to show you before purchasing as it will reflect how many transfer has been made to the bike. COE now is S$2290... which is S$277 more than what foxin stated. then plus exhuast S$700. add up to around S$8400... should be fine with that price...

maybe u can take a look at the tyres too... new tyres bave those small hairy rubber sticking out of the whole tire... ODO should reads less than 10km... Digital meter abit hard to reset... Bike shop should not lie to customer on whether brand new or not...

upz for the new ride!!!

The tire from what i see is non hairy de worx... Is it stock tyres? :cheeky:

Can anyone tell me what difference will I experience if I change a new exhaust?
