yesterday evening .. ride past woodland.. saw one yellow r15 wit blue pole light... where to buy the blue pole light??.. they fix for us or we fix ourself?? wat is the best grease to oil our chain???...thks

thks bro for the infor.. now the sound hav gone.. i go bk the shop. they help me to oil my chain then the sound is gone. will feed back again...

how long u nvr lube/oil it already?

i using maxima chain lube.

wah.. got yellow color R15? or mayb owner do a body wrap or sticker.

 

u can get pole light frm any bike shop dat sells accessories. Costs onli a couple of bux for plain ones. Got myself LED pole lights wic costs abit more.

 

Oso, I have changed my front signal lights to R6 LED signal lights. Looks chio n very small but costs me quite a bomb lah! :faint:

 

currently using maxima chain lube oso. :thumb:

frm the day i bought the bike.. abt 2 weeks ba... i spray it wit wd40... then i heard frm my frd saiding that wd40.. is for wash up n it will dry up de... is it true that we cant use wd40 to oil our chain...

usually i lube every 200-300km..

also depending on the condition of chain..

ride in rain den lubing will occur sooner..

nt sure abt wd40.. personally i wont do it..

feels wrong.. lol..

Pls dun use wd40 for your chain, use those chain lube as mentioned above. wd40 will shorten your bike chain's life. I once used wd40 to clean the chain for my phantom, whole chain needs to be changed in the end. :cry:

hey anyone can give me locations to get the cheapest r15 in town? very interested in getting one. probably better that locations which includes coe and insurance etc. ( whole package) thanks =) or if anyone wanna sell as second hand it would be much better.

hey r-15 peeps! im very interested in getting one YZF-R15. hopefully u guys can recommend me the best location to get one. currently p-plate 20 years old. hope to get any of your reply soon! cheers!

A few months back, TS went to survey a few shops and below is his findings. But this quotation he got a few months back, not sure whether izzit the same as of now. Maybe those who juz bot their bike recently can share hw much they got it from. :D

 

This is what i find out from 4 differ shops... But still is getting lesser and lesser. Maybe i will wait for next year batch... For differ colour...

 

I shall not name out the shops. I only will put ABCD. To protect the name of it. hahaha~

 

Using my age and riding experience:

 

Age: 21.

Riding experience: 3 years.

 

Shop A

 

OTR price: $6.5k (COE, Rd tax (6 months), IU)

Interest rate: 5%

Insurance: $1.5k (2nd party)

Loan: 3 years

Monthly: S$2** (dunno the exact)

D/P: $2000

 

Freebie: 3 times servicing, 1 helmet, raincoat and bike cover.

 

I dun dare to ask when i c my insurance at that price.

 

 

Shop B

 

Machine price: $5.5k

COE: $882

IU: $156

Agreement: $300

GST: 7%

Interest rate: 5%

Insurance: $503 (3nd party)

Loan: 3 years

Monthly: S$218

 

D/p: $1000/-

 

Freebie: 3 times servicing, 1 helmet, raincoat, bike cover and HEL brake line.

 

Shop C

 

Machine price: $6.4k (include COE)

IU: $150

Agreement: $100

Interest rate: 5%

Insurance: $1300 (2nd party)

Loan: 3 years

Monthly: S$205

 

D/P: $1500/-

 

Freebie: 3 times servicing, 1 helmet, raincoat, bike cover.

 

Shop D

 

OTR: $7300 nett (include COE, IU, Rd tax, insurance)

Agreement fee: $300

D/P: $1500/-

Monthly: $189

Loan: 3 years

 

Freebie: 3 times servicing, 1 helmet, raincoat, bike cover.

 

Above which wan is a better deal? hahaha~

haha yeah. i saw this post but the problem is the location and name of shops arent here. so it doesnt really help me much. =(

 

well, at least for sure to get a 1st hand R15 OTR wud have cost u 7K+. i believe everyone of us here bot ard dat price, whoever got it below 7K OTR can share lor wic bike shop u buy from.

 

so it all boils down on ur preferred shop. :goodluck:

I am wondering whether knocking the fuel tank to its original shape make its interior prone to rusting?

 

Anybody here with experience?
