From what i think is best not to get r15. As 1k wont be even enough to cover your insurance. Possible save more first. Dun kill yourself in rush.. Enough money then get wont be too late.

Damm.. I dun feel this way. Cause I don't have class 2 yet.

me too.. I was telling someone I cannot accept or imagine myself riding a curb, then he told me that my view will change right after conquering class 2. XD

Yes, true. Most of the class 2 bikes have smaller bike as transport bike coz there are days we wanna take a chill pill, relax and ride mah.. Cannot everyday clock miles on the bigger bike. Yep.. I haven't got a transport bike also.. So, maybe, the R15V2 though it looks like so many parts being copied from different class of the other bigger brothers.

"many parts being copied"? Sure~ You can get megalli. It had everything that a good bike inside it. :)

On the outer look that is :):):)

My take is with 1K, it will suck your NS pay very dry.

And beside the point that is you have the time to run the engine of this very battery-depandant-techy bike that usually have batt problem (rectifier) problem. :)

Verdict: Not advised.

From all the review i read, if you have V1 then no need for V2. The V2 otr is around 8.2 to 8.4 before insurance. Still waiting..

Changes to expect:(my opinion though)

- Bigger rear tyre

With the given condition and gear ratio that remains the same, I can you gonna suffer much worse torque, pick-up and mid-power with the 130 @ the back compared to the conventional 100 from V1

- "sari" hugger

Definitely a plus point if you dont wanna get your back wet and dirty.. But... Who cares :)

- "banana-shaped" swimarm

Makes it more similar to the big bike counter-part. Why not? FIERCE! :)

- Retuned ECU

Break it down, how much can you bend on this thing provided your exhaust will prob run everything off when you change it. Least talking about up-grading your air filter.

It probably could drive you a couple more RPM when running but the drag is simply imaginable. Fat rear = more pull. Minus point on that

- New exhaust design

Gimmicks. Gimmicks... gimmicks

- 10kg lighter

Helps when you are really very concern on the aero-dynamics, air-egineering stuff cum blah blah blah.. in the end? Gimmicks.

Overall:

I wouldn't pay 600 - 1K more for a V2 (mine was 7.4k)

Looks fierce but on a closer terms, it does look very detached and weird. Its like you have optimus prime painted in yellow strips to look like bumblebee with a voice of megatron.

Deep down? Still autobot, still thinks like optimus prime.. Still function like one.

But HEY! This is your new bike?

I'd put this into V1, slip on a yoshi, with the additonal cash from the price diff to top up air filter, exhaust, air tune, change tyre, gear set. With a couple more cents to spare. :)

From the reviews, the 130 rear only affect the flickability of the bike, because the retuned ECU is no meant for top speed but the low end problem V1 face. No difference in top speed although it is 5kg heavier. Split seats, looks better then V1 modified one. 7.4k? that was like when already? i went to 5 shops at ubi and auto bay, all quoted 8.1-8.2k. ok la, now coe so high with agreement free. So the increase now is 400.

You ask me, to get V1 or V2, hmm, addition 400, why not?

I think Ive seen R15 with lower fork, but the back.... ok? ache?

I kinda thought of doing that b4 and also change the footrest set, but kinda like a little redundant ahr.. hehe!

Precisely why I'm not interested.

So is it the manufacturing that you cannot take it or.... ?

Ache only if i travel from work/home to JB..But to work still acceptable..Futhermore im 1.78m leh long legs..But my wifey love the comfy of the rear seat..Think our V1 is more to sport tourer rather than sport type.BTW im gonna try 120/70 rear tyre and see how it goes.Bike need servicing soon as odo show 10250km liao.Items need to note Air filter,Will blow it clean if still usable and how much for new one?Oil filter too.Thinking of using Maxima fully synthetic one any review?Spark plug can usu iridium>?Currently use Castrol Magnatec semi syn feel a bit heavy for gear 1-2-3..Tyre currently is IRC Roadwinner(Shop gift) 80/90-17 110/70-17.Planning to use 90/80-17 for front..

the initial batch of r15 v1 is pretty fast, it is the later batch of r15 v1 that yamaha decided to tune down the ecu for better fuel consumption which is why u seen ppl with fc of 40+ km/l for r15. R15v1 can get their ecu tune or change to aftermarket, it will be much quicker than r15v2, and u nid to noe how important flickability in the peak hr. i really luv hw my bike able to travel during the peak hr, and u can see hw some moped turn in some tight corner. R15v2 cornering will be better due to the swingarm, but that is only matter most on the track. also the split seat of r15v2 wun be comfortable for ur pillion. i got my r15 at 7.5k with coe @ 1.8k. personally prefer v1 to v2 in terms of performance. if i wan look, r125 is really the way man!

There seems to be some gadget up on offer for the GSS season from this BHH bikeshop. Wanna go check it out?

My bike fork have been lower and i have been riding for lik 8months with it alr. Is lik ok le. Mayb you got to do something abt ur seats high. try sitting back abit. My height is abt 170 le. For the footrest. I think if clear road jus put ur ball of ur foot at the rest then the leveler. Then everything will be great alr.
