That is one odd phenomena.

4stroke engine shouldnt be nosiy actually. You might wanna open up to check your seals is there any wear and tear or something.

Heard of it and read the reviews before.. Was said that the white bottle (injector cleaning) or was it other color..

Anyway, read that the injector cleaner and red bottle octance booster does help.

But then it doesn't go for long and you need to feed the bike with STP almost every month to enjoy the same benefits. To me I'd say not worth it la~ Already so fuel economical :)

i see i see like not bad ah, cause my bike right, dont know why the power reduce and engine become rough, any tip for that? LOL

honda sp>honda phantom> honda cb400>yamaha R15 > i want a honda CBR!!!

when i ride big bike, i feel like riding a small bike, when i ride small bike, i feel like riding a big bike OMG how...

Power reduce was commonly complaint by other riders eh.. Then they proceed to mention that there seems to be a valve clearance thing that can be done.

I personally find it convincing.

I kana rough engine before.. that was because I used engine oil that is 10w40... I realised I need to use 20w40 or even 25w50 so my bike wouldn't be rough. The "thicker" on the scale.. Then some people were like "your bike new bike no need to use engine oil like those old bike." But I thought it made my engine smoother, why not? hehe

whats the lowest price of a 2nd hand r15? keen to get it after i pass my 2B tp. Considering r125 and r15 which would be better in terms of saving's and mantainance? Heard that aprilia mantainance could cost a bomb.

Posted

definitely r15 will be much cheaper . r125 is just like a vertu phone on the shelf . just follow the flow , the more the people use that model of bike , the easier and cheaper will the repair and maintain . i see from bike mart there one sell at 5k 2nd r15v1 coe left 8.5 years .

You're looking 2stroke comparing to 4stroke technology. This comparison is already in the wrong direction.

Generally speaking you cannot label Aprilia as high cost since you're looking at the fact that it requires 2T + petrol + engine while R15 (4stroke) only need engine oil + petrol.

Parts wise I would have to apply it in what kokwei said, with more demand on the road you will definitely have cheaper parts... Shop here are small time business and they wouldnt want to tie their capital into parts that people don't usually use. HOWEVER!

Did you consider the quality involve?

That same sprocket that you use for your rs125 maybe last way longer than your r15 one despite every change will cost aprilia 200+ over say a good 3 to 5 years while r15 need to change almost yearly @ 80 over per change?

Benefits here and there.. Horsepower also different even you compare the RS4 and R15.

A 125 can have more power and torque than a 150...

Hard to compare in many ways also :):):)

Looks?

So at the end of the day... Aprilia came loaded with goodies that are what aftermakets are aiming at.. brembo parts.. styling..levers.. crowl.. chains.. etc

While your R15 came with normal parts that is the same as the bike you see day in and day out. R&D wise is already different.

You earn something and loss something at the same time lo.. Hard to strike a balance one :):)

Figuratively speaking.. Just a small advise.

If you're looking at playing with big bikes, don't get r15 at all. Initial cost too high and you can't sell off with lesser heartache :p

After 2A I see all my friends happily dump their phantom, dump their spark, SP, KRR and get the S4 SpecIII.. I lan lan ride my R15 tail behind their bike.. LOL!

Hi all riders!!

By any chance if any of you guys are looking into getting good quality GOREtex jackets/raincoat. Please give my product a consideration too.

link : http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php/370050-lt-CMO-gt-SALES-OF-GORETEX-APPARRELS-JACKETS-*Not-Common-Brands*

Alot of color choices and not the common brands of raincoat riders are using. Quality of water resistant is as good as NS issued. However, it's of a much thinner layers to suit our hot climate. Mutiple air ventilation zippers on the jacket too for riding during the day to protect from sun. More info please refer to thread or contact us! Thanks and ride safe! Cheers!~~

HI EVERYONE COMING SAT , I WILL BE PART OF R15 . getting r15v2 red , gettting at 8k inclusive of coe 1.9k ,all in exclude insurance . good deal or bad ?

8K is a pretty good deal. However do also look into the fine prints and what was required of you :)

Example: Some shop sells at a cut throat price, but they require you to take on loan for more than 5 years @ a interest rate of 6 to 7% and if you settle your payments early, there will be penalty and you will have to pay them a huge sum of money :):)

Best of luck on your search.

Your approach seems... un-usual :D

Anyhow, I started off reading from wikipedia and watching (youtube)/ readup various reviews from MCN, Fastbike magazine to start with about various different bikes and how various company started out, how they change over the years and what significant change does one leads to the other.

Then, CMO section here, seeing what was being sold and what's not.. whats good for what bike and whats useless for what bike.

Gained the most by talking to people who rode the same/ similar bike and mechanics that shows insight on the machine they are able to work on.

Rely not on one source but make it a learning journey.

I even tried reading up on engines (since i love airplane) and whats the effect/ how to bring out the effect of say.. inline 4, parallel twin, v4... sohc/dohc engines.. valves... compression rate.. gearing.. such. Commonly used on bikes..

Learn well..

Wondering if the R15 V1 suitable to install a 42L rear box?

Does it look weird?

No bikes of that design will look any better with box :)

The choice position of your slider will not support the bike and if you put it by the side nicely, slowly and softly.. you will realize your exhaust is the first to kana.. then mirror then finally it will topple over and kana your tank..

Our bike cannot fix any slider..

Bar end long kind I only know of motovation.. bought mine @ 70 @ racewerkz.. or go unique.

From angle is easy to see that only the main bone can hold up the weight of ur bike. So if u fix there the slider will be too short. The mirror or exhaust will be the one touching the ground first. So really no point. Bar end i got it together with him. $70 is cheap to have such good bar end alr. Even rizor oso much more ex yet is lighter than motovation. Worth it. It help to make ur handle bar look longer oso.
