Yeah same, especially when i wear short pants. I can feel heat coming off the engine onto my legs. Dunno if its normal :(

 

Mine have the Temp Is High icon showing up red..dunno if engine oil plays a part..I'm going to change the engine oil on monday

it lighted up while i was riding at 90km/h after about 5km

Weather that hot nowadays? I suppose I have never ever encounter this kinda problem on my V1 last time. No matter how hot it was. I think it is high time to check that coolant quality of yours, your engine oil and also probably your jetsetting on your bike. Probably running into too much fuel intake causing a little "revving" than the normal "idling". Nv once I have heard R15 temperature light other than the diagnostic check when you on your bike.

 

Thanks bro foxin, my dad is pretty experienced, went for a viewing of 1 R15 v2 but seems like there's pretty much rust on the joint area...and he is like nah this bike does not make it lol.

Anyways just want to know does the rust corrode the joint very badly? or is it just cosmetics and it can be removed? Thanks

 

Rusting occurs very easily, especially this bike issn't the "high" quality of a bike considering it was made in India. And yes, it's the same factory that produces your Bajaj and KTM.

But the bottom line I guess is how the owner took care of it. Safely to say the owner probably didn't even care if the bike is in the open under the Sun's beating, never washed and wipe and probably didn't even change engine oil. Who knows? :D

Hi bros, gna get my license pretty soon. Just wna check w y'all the avg price of a 2nd hand R15 V2? Deciding whether to get R15 / R125/ RS 125 / CBR150R atm, R15 is my aim atm though! Oh, and is it wise to get from a direct seller for my first bike? Direct seller usually pump in accessories which is quite a steal at times!

 

It's time like this where we are so lured by the bikes that are so open to us huh? haha! Well, generally I suppose a 2nd V2 should cross the 6K mark. Now that being said, accessories is a very subjective issues.

Ever came across this dude asking for a 80% of the price he paid for his 23K mod to this CBR600rr with a machine price of 11K.

1 group will say "Ya, I haven even asked you to strip already laugh and you still want me to share the cost of your stupidity mod?". Another group will say "Hey! It's all setup and ready to perform. I need not go around looking for parts and all.."

 

Direct seller can gives you alot of accessories, but what accessories are you talking about on a.. say... V2?

V2 have no legal pipe/ full system, that itself is one big boohoo. Stickers? Tank grip? Tank bra? Tank bag? Lever socks? Grip changed? Mirror changed? Fender eliminator? Blings (LEDS, light mod etc)? HID?

Hard to determine right? I ever came across a seller for his bike and he threw in racing suits, boots, gloves, helmets, bike cares, paddock, covers (bike), covers (fairings, engine case, savers, etc) and... all those "accessories" are free.

 

So end the end of the day, dont be too happy when a seller wanna sell your what seems like a 5K worth bike for 8K just because it has XXX PNG, XXX racing mirrors, XXX battery, XXXgrip, XXX balancer, XXX _________, where all you know those are not "performance" related parts but just some things to covered what had happen to the bike before.. (full decal wrap! Maybe the bike suffered an accident before and the fairing cracked?)

Haha, you got it right bro! I see, that being said. I'm also actually considering getting a 2nd V1. I've been thinking if getting a Aprilla RS 125 would be a good choice too, I know that the maintenance cost might be pretty high but it should be okay if the general parts are still in good condition eh? So torn between an R15 or RS 125!

I'm actually pretty much a fussy buyer and would like to get the best out of my budget so I'm like, really trying very hard to judge sellers, motordiams etc as it's hard to not get eaten by sellers. I guess what you say is really true that's why I tried looking from direct sellers as they're much easier to deal with compared with motordiams. Okay, actu not really. It's really difficult for a newbie who knows just a little haha!

 

Anyw, I was thinking if I should get a V1 or RS 125 instead of an V2 unless I can get a good price for a V2. Still can't decide on V1 or RS 125 though! Any insights on this?

getting this bike. depend on your luck. i know a r15 v2 rider. he got his bike at 7k. by right OTR lifespan is.. 5mth! actually otr only less then 3 mth. =X

RS125 have it's strong point too. Thrill. Speed. Pickup. Maintenance aside, I do know of many Aprilia rider suffer from blowouts such as starter motor spoil, ignition coil faulty, internal gearing crack (cause the first.. 3 gears? They are plastic) and such. Generally cannot compare eye to eye la. Really.

 

 

If u ask me to choose again either V1 or V2 , I will still choose V2. haha... My Vivian serve me well. Love it so much and no overheat issue too.

 

Yeap! Deep is an understatement. Bonded is the word. Word is R15v2 is reliable enough in many ways la.

Hi, asking for a friend. His speedo meter has a problem. Apparently, in the past the speedo couldnt increase and stayed at 0. Recitifed the problem somehow, wy mech say it was due to electric cables. Changed the whole wiring system and it was okay. Now, the digital meter wont even move including the rpm gauge. Any idea on what's the problem? Dont feel like getting carrot again!

Hi, anyone knows where to replace the leather on the R15 main rider seat? Mine is a 2nd hand bike so the leather is quite worn out and peeling at the side. I saw a couple of R15 riders have customized leather seats on theirs. Anyone here willing to share where they got it changed?

Hi all, hoping to get feedback from R15 rider.

 

I am looking to get a 2nd hand bike, I found R15 extremely sexy, decent power, and reliable too.

But one concern for me is that the seat looks uncomfortable, well I guess it is common for a sportbike.

How you all find the riding posture of this bike? I will be using it for long ride daily, at least 25km ride from my home to work. I wonder if this will give me pain in my back.

My height is 172cm, and weight is 65kg.

 

Another thing is the pillion. I found V1 pillion is more comfortable than V2. looks better to me also. Any feedback from R15 riders? Your gf feel comfortable with that? :smile:

 

My alternative choice would be Fz150i, but looks less less sexy, but I believe it's much more comfortable.
