Hi all,

 

After long consideration I think I have to sell my red YZF R-15. I bought it in December 2010, and I hardly rode it because of the weather and safety issues, opting to drive instead. Another major downside was that I like sports bikes but if I don't ride them often, their battery conks out.. which happened 3 times to me already and is a BIG hassle to rectify.

 

Plus now, I am currently overseas in USA on a study course and I don't forsee me riding my bike even occasionally (if it can even start). It has now got another bout of flat battery or non functioning spark plug issues too again due to long period of non-usage, even worse.. it is due for inspection in January.

 

I'm wondering how much can it fetch if I put it for sale once I fix the batt/spark plug? Condition wise I took pretty good care of it, although some dirt streaks are on the fairings (Think those can be cleaned?) Only accidentally dropped it once, so got a few minor scratches on some of the left parts.

 

Thanks, I will only be back in Singapore from 4-14 Dec so might have to get it sold during that period. Even better is if I can find somebody to buy it cheaper and he/she go fix the bike himself or herself, because I won't have the time to do so. Better somebody use it than it continues rotting at my house.

Hi all

Just wondering how much would a complete overhaul for a r15 cost? My bike got this knocking engine sound when i start and ride the bike.

 

Was wondering if anyone experience this and have went through the overhaul for thier bike.

Anyone experienced squealing/squeaking sounds when engaging brakes at slow speed? I've recently changed rear brake pads, and started hearing the sound when braking at slow speed, particularly when coming to a stop. Brought it back to the mechanic, they could not hear it, but removed the brake pads, cleaned it out and sprayed some stuff. Sound went away for a day, and back again the next day...

R15 V2 how long need to clean fuel injector? Roughly ard how much?

Either the back or front wheels bearing needs to be oiled i guess. After i changed new brake disc then i started to hear these squeaking and squealing sounds too then the mechanic said that it was the bearings at the front wheel and after oiling it was quiet again! @jacchen

Hi everyone, I encountered this issue today. My bike's engine would feel like it's running weak after riding for about 20-30mins and it will just die off. Even when I have the clutch pulled in or even when in neutral gear.

 

In neutral gear, I was observing my bike and I could hear some sound coming out hear the engine or somewhere near. And the idle rpm speed would not be steady at 1.5k rpm. It would rise and fall and eventually just die off. It's a new bike and my mileage is just over 300kms.

 

All these happens after I ride for about 20mins. Anyone with same experience?
