Bro... tink need be abit sensitive with comments comparing our different bikes.

 

 

 

our R15 range from 8K to 9K. prices are not fix so need to check it out at shops. bring someone who know bikes (at least not a p plate) and get him to talk to the sales person while you digest all the terms and conditions of owning a bike. We all had our first time... =)

 

R125 Range from 12K to 14K.

 

 

 

hard to compare engine oil. Yamaha Service center uses Shell/Mobil 1. I recommend Fully synthetic for every servicing...

 

Anyway, do your run in properly first which is the most important... if you wanna know how to do a proper run in, there are too many ways to do it. SO, just follow the owner's Manual. avoid riding over 5000 rpm for a PROLONG period for first 500km. and 7000rpm for subsequent 500 km.

 

when you reach 800 km, call yamaha and book for your 1000 km servicing around 1 to 2 weeks later. it will be just nice. Ask them what kind of oil they have, and ask them to recommend u. =)

YZF R15 is NOT a parallel imported bike do you all know that? haha it come with YAMAHA Singapore Authorized Dealer, Hong Leong Warranty.

 

if u notice, your bike got a Hong Leong sticker at the chain area... SO when u purchase this bike, u are actually entitled with 6 months of warranty with Yamaha SG and 2 free labour charge servicing.

 

and for your information, YZF R15 is also entitled with free recalls if yamaha one day find something wrong with our bikes!

oh, and to add on, any shops selling YZF R15, are actually selling for Hong Leong...

 

BUT if your bike doesn't have the hong leong sticker! that means ur's is really a imported bike! and you are not entitled to those benefits i listed above... =)

I realized that every time I pump in petrol, there's gonna be a leak below my bike. I think its the starter oil leak or something. Anybody know about this? My fc has been decreasing too. Maybe because of this problem? Could anyone enlighten me? thanks!

where is the leak coming from?? try to spot it the next time u pump petrol..

and ur fc will decrease if the leak is continuous...and check everytime u move ur bike off for riding,look for and smell any petrol vapor...

hmm, better bring it to your bike shop or HL to check it out. Dangerous leh if oil leak.

What about in the west? You mean you are not going for outing plan in the west? Outing is normally plan by me,i am the organizer for R-Series. To be fair for Rider living near west we need to plan some outing at west also, in the past we did plan outing at yishun dam and places near the area.

As for coffeshop (Sit down and relax) we call for meet up between ourself and it is not an official outing we also did that b4. i will call for coffee session tomorrow night.
