OK, so here goes again:

The morning started off at slightly past 0515hrs with a chilly ride down Old Upper Thomson Road, through Mandai and we made a brief pit stop at the western end of the Kranji Dam

Across the Johor Straits, we caught a glimpse of the glittering city lights of Johor Bahru

Rushing across to Bt Timah Nature Reserve, the three us hiked through the pitch black up to the summit just in time to witness the break of day peering through the forest canopy

The telecommunication mast against the backdrop of a sky which was turning bright very quickly with the promise of a brand new day

Strange cloud formations - beautiful, but an ominous hint of the weather to come (in retrospect)

The lush greenery was hard to ignore - simply because it was everywhere!

Waiting for the lights to change at the junction of Old Choa Chu Kang and Jalan Bahar.

The end of the road (literally): Lim Chu Kang - a storm is brewing...

Menacing dark clouds hang over the kelongs

We were fortunate to be able witness the magnificence of the storm clouds before the skies opened up

Managed to get a final shot of the Kranji dam right before the initial drops of rain fell in the buckets-load!

We found shelter not far from Kranji dam, at a cluster of coffeeshops by Sungei Kadut Drive. but by then we were all a little wet. We had a well-deserved breakfast and went our ways from there.

The shelter on my adiva200 kept me from getting drenched all the way home without having to stop under a rain shelter along the SLE/TPE, but the sleeves of my leather jacket were soaked! Whew! Made it home at 1000hrs with breakfast for my wife and kid just as they started their morning ;)

Nice knowing all of you. Riding have definitely expanded my social circles. My car was mainly for commute, hence less of these rounding activities and hence less meet up with new people. Hope to travel to Thailand when I get a Cl2, any takers?

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

no, your posts in this thread hasn't been constructive. my request is for you to start a separate thread in Chatter Box section for such posts, not in my thread for Singapore rides.

to everyone else, please refrain from responding to these posts in this thread. i would like to keep this thread for Singapore rides discussions only.
