Just bought a DRZ 400 sm... Think I kena scammed... Seniors here pls advise... Thanks

Ok, first to say, I'm a noob to supermotard and i think i've been scammed.

 

 

I just bought a DRZ 400sm from everbright last friday. FBC plate with a leovince X3 slip on, initially they quote me 9.5k, the second day i went there, they say wanna help me service everything "SUI SUI", then up the price to 10.8k, and i thought it's ok as they promised lots of stuffs.

 

Today when i went to get my bike, they only help me change the rear tires, spark plug, engine oil and pass the bike to me. That so called "SUI SUI" servicing only consist of changing of rear tires, engine oil and spark plug... And up me 1.3k difference of price. WTF!!! Am i being scammed??? :cry: Pls help!!! Thanks!!!

i think there's nothing you can do now..

 

IMO, $10.8K for a DRZ with slip-on, new tyres and insurance sounds reasonable..

but if insurance is excluded, it's be a bit high..

wow.. u shud haf asked dem to define their "SUI SUI".. get it jotted dwn in black n white what they`re gonna change.. frm what i see that they have changed.. it doesn`t justifies the 1.3k mark up price.. in fact its less then $400..

 

my fren recently bought a revo frm them.. initially agreed on a price.. den similar case lyk urs.. they wanna up da price.. luckily my fren was smart enuff.. wanted to get them to list down the accs they wanna give in black n white.. but they declined my fren n just changed eo n spark plug n allowed my fren to collect the bike on the same day at the initial agreed price..

 

so no choice since u alrdy agreed to take the bike despite it being marked up.. but 10.8k fer an fbc drz is also not that bad uhh.. if considerin the insurance is alrdy factored in..

Bros here, NEVER EVER patron that shop(EVERBRIGHT) and from that sales person(STEVEN), He promised lots of stuffs and do it using underhand methods. Eg, promised a new rear tire, in the end put on a old rear tires and claimed that it's still usable, only until when my friend complained that it's a old one then he replied it's company policy to give old tires to customers, he'll see what he can do about it. Only when we bugged him further more, he got no choice but to give me a lousy new rear tire. Till now he still owe me a spocket and chain,but not black and white written.

 

Today, my friend called him up to question why he scammed me, he just reply that i drove off the bike ytd, which means i'm happy with his service, condition and the price of the bike. Really wtf!! A learning experience, once bitten, twice shy... Wasted my 4hrs++ there and gotten nothing plus kena scammed by that F*cker who act busy and act blur very well. What a cannon fairy STEVEN!!!

STEVEN is the saleman or boss? some said mechanic some said saleman but to what i see he is the boss there. heard from other shop they he is the boss. my cousin once bought a rxz from him, i am his guarantor, but i can recall that he show really harsh attitude on my cousin when he ask for a box that he promised. anyway i am not sure what is the deal? but simply feel that as a service line, he should not raised his voice and harsh attitude towards my cousin, as my cousin only ask to change a better second box as he promised he will give 1 like new.

 

for me: i will never buy or even enquire from this shop!

Heard they moved to the auto bay. Been there, never see the steven there but heard from my mech that the new gobal motor shop is actually everbright.

a good rear tyre (sport 160 profile) = ~$260+

2 bottles of fully synth EO (high end) = ~$52~

1 spark plug (average) = $12~

 

we all learn our lessons from being conned, i 2b conned until class 2 so can say im a bit smarter now, learn from this lesson and don't repeat it for your next bike, cheers
