4 Stroke bikes like the super 4 does not need to be de-carbonized as less carbon is produced in a more efficient engine. 2 Stroke engines tend to produce more soot, or carbon, and hence the de-carbonization.

 

It is very rare to hear of super 4s being de-carbonized. Your money is better spent on more necessary repairs and maintenances.

 

Be wary of the mechs who tell you to decarbonize your super4. They may soon tell you that you need to spend on a lot more "necessary maintenances". I would patronize those who advise me against it if I'm riding a 4 stroke bike. But its your money, and hence, your call.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.
