Yup, The Standard Settings for Lagenda 110 is 15-36. but I have no Idea about the standard settings for the 102cc version SR.

Here, I mean in Jalan Sentul, a Pair of Gas Shocks cost somewhere around RM 130++ depending on models and brands. but I PERSONALLY think that the available aftermarket shocks is too common and doesn't interest me. I want the one like the Race Edition even if it'll cost me RM 600.00.... That is worth buying. but I see some Lagenda's Here with the aftermarket Gas Shocks. they say, the Gas shocks is better on high speed cornering compared to the standard shocks. but hey....the standard shocks is not cheap either. they're made by KAYABA. a branded name in motorcycle shocks...

whatever you choose, always buy the originals.... even if they're a bit expensive. your life depends on it.

hmm... is the shop also sell performance muffler ? can you help find out ? is there any performance parts for Lagenda / SparkZ ? a K&N air filter or something ?....

thank you...

Today I visit a couple of bike shop and Installed a Racing Cam. this stuff is really great. with my setup (15-38), I can easily reach 120Kmh like it is 60Kmh. and on more problems it solves are the vibration at 75-85Kmh. no more vibration. only a rage for speed....

and late today evening, the shop also ordered an AHM Racing Exhaust for my bike. I just can't wait to try the new setup. my plan for the next 3 month is change the standard block to Racing Block and add a manual racing clutch.

what do you guys think ?....

Posted

is the racing cam the CDI change? anyway do let us know how much more fuel is being used....stated of fuel consumption if possible before u change your pipe.

Posted

today, completes my mod of the month. but I don't think it will end there... I still need something out of it.

I changed the Racing cam yesterday, and as the shop promised me, they call me up for the AHM Pro Racing Pipe and I also change the rear sprockets to 34. so my setting now is 14-34.... after hours of installation and adjustments, the conclusion is like this...

the bike has improved in pick-up. 1st gear = 0-25, 2nd gear = 25-60, 3rd gear = 60-105 and 4th gear 105-130..... all in a very quick time... but I am disappointed with the top end.... it only reach flat 135 most. even with the 14-34 settings. I will find other ways to solve that. and I expect a least 150km/h top end. on flat raod and normal windy condition.

one more thing is, the sound is like a superbike. quite loud for a small bike. I rather don't agree with it.

and actually, this morning. I had an accident @ 60Km/h (before installing the mod)

I injured a little, and luckily my gf is okay. and the bike is still in good condition. --- end of story.

about fuel consumption, after the mod, the consumption is more than standard which is predictable. but still exceptable. lets say for example, I normally finish full tanks on 250km, but now it is like 190km for full tank of petrol....

maybe next, I'll try the 14-36, and 15-34, and 15-36 combination to find a better top end. cheers

The racing cam cost me around RM 140 with installation charge with adjustments and settings. the mechanic only change the cam and some gaskets, then he do the valve settings.....That's all....then the Exhaust is Rm 120, but I have to wait 1 day for them to order the unit from the factory. --- one of a kind. the mechanic says, thats the first one installed around KL... for a 110cc model.

early tonight, I feel ugly riding on the 14-34 settings. I can't even beat a Hondas on 1st gear. eventhough the 2 and 3rd gear rocks. 4th gear fail flat. so I go to the shop again and ask them to change the rear sprocket to 15-36. and now it feels like cruising on silk line..... smooth acceleration. but top speed is still 130++. hisshh!!!... I think it's my weight (93Kgs) that hold the bike from going faster. could it be ???....

and did I mention about vibration ? there is totally "NO MORE" vibration. running 100km/h now is like 60km/h before.... I think the upgrade is overall successful, only that the jetting (air & fuel) needs a little leaner adjustments...

actually, I'm happy running 100km/h on a highway, but all these mods and probably future mods are done coz I wanto to see the full potential of such a sleek machine.... and yes, this is the best 4stroke moped available today.

one more info from the mechanic is.... the Blue Color Limited Edition has a different CDI. and it can go 160Km/h stock... The CDI is of racing units. and I'm going to scour the land for it. anybody selling the racing CDI ? tell me... I'll buy them.... :cheeky:

a couple of days ago, I visit a workshop to replace my rear tyre. after a few minutes chat witht he mechanic which is also the shop owner, the owner ask if I would like to upgrade my bike using a Racing CAM. I told him that I already installed one a few days back. he looked shocked, and examine my bike. I show him the Racing CAM packaging which is still in my GIVI box. he then told me that the cam I installed is not a Racing CAM.... it is called "Gemuk CAM" or "FAT CAM" because of it's bigger diameter..... and the purpose of this cam is for Pick-up only, not the TOP SPEED. I was very disappointed. and he teach me some stuff about racing cam and how to differentiate them and what type is available.... so I know that Lagenda's 110 standard cam is called S3, and the one I installed is S4. A true racing cam is supposed to be an S5 or S6 and he also show me the samples. and he even show me one Honda 100cc installed with S6 and demo me the capabilities.... I feel so down .... he then teach me a lot about my bike etc....etc.

so I already ask him to do a modification for the S6, and he also ordered for me a Racing Coil.... those parts have not arrive yet, so I'll have to wait for some time before I can satisfy myself.

What to learn from this is :-

The shop that I purchase the 'wrong cam' actually didn't screw me... it's actually my fault because I didn't do enough research about Racing CAM before heading to the shop to install them. the shop "DID" sell me a Racing CAM, but of types that is not like I tought it was supposed to be..... my fault...my fault. wasted RM 140 there.

my advise for everyone else is, do a lot of research for items you'll be purchasing before you make decision to buy them. find market variables and varieties if possible. and ALWAYS.... I mean... ALWAYS Install 'ORIGINAL' or 'BRANDED' Spare Parts / Add-ons Ons even they cost a little more, you can rest assured of the superior quality & satisfaction.

S**T..... stupid me... :faint:

Gunshead : Thank You... I just hope I can share stuffs with everyone and hope I can learn from others too.... :p

huh ? cheap yellow absorber ? I never saw one. I tought Yamaha now already owns OHLINS. why can't we find OHLINS suspensions for our bike ? I tried once to buy compatiuble OHLINS suspensions online ---> wimkroon import. but they reply to me telling that they can't sell to Malaysia and Asia. I am very disappointed....

NEWS!! - I have change the color to glossy black. I wonder if there were glossy black sparkz as standard colors ??.... --- but actually, people around me says that they like the original color better.... duh!...:sian: :p hehehee
