A bit clueless on the little details of maintaining the bike though.

U have accosato, activ, motionpro, etc...I'm using motionpro, it's not bad....but r1 09-12 is already a very responsive and torque-y bike, if u insert a fast throttle, u may end up not enjoying your ride, unless you're going for track, then it's different. Just my 2cents

Thx bro, but fortunately it was juz the starter motor, they changed it since under warranty. Also, after checking at Planet Motors, the battery that they gave seems to be some cheapo china made battery, unlike the stock one. so have to change the battery soon.

Original battery is the best. It's $150 at most shops.

Yuasa de not bad. But forget which model Le and price also around $140 - $170

Forget change how much Le. Change 1 year Le. For pass 4months 3 week start 1 time warm up 3mins no problem.

Battery still strong. Haha. Some more got alarm...

I would think it's an after-market wiring issue. If electronics like IU are wired directly to live w/o going through relay, it will drain the batt, esp if low bike usage. Check the current draw with everything off. Typically should only be in the tens of mA max if correct.

Unfortunately these are very common issues like stators or coil problems.... some say need gd e.o to cool .... changing of batt frequent.....

Guys, anyone experience the problem when ur bike was left running idle, and you will notice some jumping on the RPM, hearing some weird knocking sound, feeling like the bike could stall on you if you dun throttle hard enough?

Usually while warming up the idling will be slightly higher and maybe a bit unstable but after warming up the idling should be quite stable.

 

Maybe cos its time for timing chain to done as well.

 

But if u notice some knocking sounds, best to go down to your preferred workshop to have it check, paying a small fee can help u save tat big burnt hole.

Thx a lot bro, i had it checked, the mechanic says the knocking is due to one of the 4 spark rod or something is dying. need to replace @$110 per epiece =s

Alot of color choices and not the common brands of raincoat riders are using. Quality of water resistant is as good as NS issued. However, it's of a much thinner layers to suit our hot climate.
