I didn't buy that particular bike from bike pro, i just saw that bike and the next thing you know, it's sold. haha. the termi pipe sounds kick arse! I bought mine from asphoon.

 

If too hot for the groin no good for the production leh. hehehe.

Btw do any of you know where to get the anti-slip or tank grip where your tights lean against the tank? something transparent/translucent. I think it is made of rubber kind.

anywayz... mine is 08 model...I oso have this prob... the RPM below 1 and very unstable like wan to die wan to die off likedat... and when it dies, damn hard to start the bike again right??

i know its coming when i low rev and my pipe still got the popping sound when i engine brake means i clutch in engine will die off le....

if i'm not wrong i ask some lao jiao b4.. he said its the YCC-I and YCC-T ratio.. either too much intake less throttle , or too much throttle too less intake....

could be a few issue here:

 

1) TPS (as what apitkamekazi has pointed out)

2) setting/mapping

3) the YCC-I and YCC-T ration does not match correctly

 

can only be verify by a very experience mechanic in doing yamaha R1s, who has access to your bike. By describing about the problem here online is very hard for us to tell whats the actual problem

I tried Engine Ice once and it doesn't help much in my opinion. Engine still as hot as ever. The best combination that keep my bike at a respectable temperature was Amsoil EO with Maxima Cool-Aide. Pity my mechanic has stopped bringing these two products in. Currently using Belray EO & Belray coolant. Totally no help at all as my bike's temperature is constantly high unless I am on the move...

i also encounter this problem while on the move. mine is r1 08 too.

the engine can suddenly shut down when i am slowing down and clutch in to down gear.

any gurus can help us to rectify this problem.

hi bros i wanna ask abt my r1. while riding, wen i clutch in my bike suddenly died dwn. i quickly release the cluch and it start back. i put the bike to neutral and the rpm like nt stable then died again. this have happen not always but sometimes. is it the battery prob? or sprak plug? hmm. but after ir died, it can start easily. nt sure batt prob or sprk plug

 

I counted this before. Mechanic say mostly is the tps dirty just ned to wash and it solved the problem.
