Hi guys, i've been using my BT 014 for 2 changes now. previously tried GPR70, 010 and 090. Me still 2 thumbs up for 014.

Good Gripping power (good enough for me to max i right up the tire edge)

Good Endurance

090 also very good. provided you can tahan the wearing out.

Continental tyres eg. Metz, michelin, conti, pirelli etc is very good provided you buy the track series. I personally find the road series not very good especially for our kinda hot weather.

*All views are personnal opinions. Sorry if anyone finds it offensive.*

u get ure tyres frm there bro? btw.. can u guys recommend me a good pair of track tyres... i'm still unsure to get racetecs or SUpercoarsa's....

A good pair of TRACK tyres (emphasis on the TRACK) between this two would be the SuperCorsas. Grip real well on track roads. True enough it wears off fast and is kinda costly. But if you're really into track riding. This would be rather a a good deal to invest in than your repair fees.

However, for those who's looking for a pair of good normal street/road riding tyres, i PERSONALLY would recommend Mez-M1 or M3. Wearing rate would be average and still sticks on well on the road during wet weather. These 2 would be a good choice. Price wise if im not wrong would be S$290 for M1 and S$360 for M3.

Two words to self-describe: I am a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious awesome rebel.

Hey guys... Need some inputs. I intend to change tyres for local riding and some short touring trips up to KL. Considering some of these tyres

BT090

BT020

M1

Pilot Sports

I heard 020 more for touring and milege so i shouldn't consider it right? About 15000km i will change the tyres liao cause estimate after that will be going for a long touring trip and need fresh tyres, prob M3.

Of the above 4, which one is more value for money for running 15000km and how much should i be paying for them and at where? Comparing prices with my regular mech. Riding S4 and new to bigger tyres.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

would like to make an announcement.

some of you may have heard, michelin is recalling a batch of its 2ct. the batch being sold locally IS part of the batch being recalled. my front tyre 2ct is in fact part of the affected batch. i have been verbally offered a replacement when new stock arrive by a local michelin rep, but it remains to be seen if i would indeed get one.

i'd like to advice those seeking to fit michelin pp 2ct now to take note of the affected batch number (available in the relevant thread under news section) when buying, and check before fitting. in fact, mebbe waiting awhile is best, coz at best the shop is out of stock due to the recall, at worst they'll sell you the affected front tyre without telling you.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Any milleage from 8000km it start to wear out fast and wun have much grip as before and the price i brought was expensive compare to the price i see on the preview here. FYI i brought it 480 (kenna chop) when it first came out.

I riding a VFR model and now looking to change a new tyres . Have heard alot preview and i like to invite all of you here to give / advise for my model .

My choice as for now is

1)michelin is recalling a batch of its 2ct - Must becareful .

http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33563

For those lazy to check i copy and paste :)

Michelin has notified the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and Transport Canada that it is recalling Michelin® Pilot® Power 2CT and Pilot® Power 120/70 ZR 17 (58W) front motorcycle tires with the "Made in France" markings in the United States and Canada. This recall involves these specific tires only and has no impact on any other Michelin tires. Related actions are under way in other countries.

An examination of these tires showed a possible defect in the tread due to a manufacturing irregularity. No cases of pressure loss have been reported and no accidents have occurred.

Because rider safety is the primary concern, Michelin has decided as a precaution to replace the 120/70 ZR 17 (58W) Michelin Pilot Power 2CT and Michelin Pilot Power front tires, which can be identified by the following markings on the sidewall:

• a "Made in France" label

• DOT 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T

Any consumer in the United States or Canada who believes they are affected by the recall should not wait to receive notification but should call Michelin Consumer Relations at 1 866 324 2835.

The company will be replacing all potentially affected tires in a comprehensive commitment to retrieve from the market any tire that does not meet Michelin quality standards. Replacement tires are available at no cost (including mounting and balancing) to consumers through participating Michelin® motorcycle tire servicing retailers.

About Michelin

Dedicated to the improvement of sustainable mobility, Michelin designs, manufactures and sells tires for every type of vehicle, including airplanes, automobiles, bicycles, earthmovers, farm equipment, heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles and the space shuttle. The company also publishes travel guides, hotel and restaurant guides, maps and road atlases. Headquartered in Greenville, S.C., Michelin North America (http://www.michelin.com) employs more than 22,000 and operates 19 major manufacturing plants in 17 locations.

NOTE TO EDITOR: Attached is an illustration of how to read a sidewall DOT code to assist consumers in determining if their tires are affected by the recall.

About the DOT Code and Tire Identification Number

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) markings serve as the tire's fingerprint and signify compliance with U.S. Tire Safety Standards. The DOT code can be found on the sidewall right above the rim printed in small type less than half an inch tall.

Make sure your tire is of the make and model:

Michelin® Pilot® Power 2CT or Michelin® Pilot® Power 120/70 ZR 17 (58W)

Then, look for a DOT code 6UCW 980T or DOT 6UCW 979T on the sidewall.

If you are having difficulty identifying your tire's DOT code, please ask your local tire dealer to assist you or call Michelin Consumer Relations at 1 866 324 2835.

hope that help other that are using to be careful thru it a gd tyres

2)pirelli tyes - Ex but gd grip but i dun go track .. i use for normal . Hardly play corner too . Older i get the more i scared... i wan to live longer :) no guts.. i store in the fridge. :cheeky: :cheeky:

I'm using Michelin Pilot Sport for Honda NSR 150 RR '97. Its very comfortable and give lots of traction. Give me lots of confidence even in wet road. Braking distance is shorten by few meters. Excellent acceleration.

If this is the first time you are using a DOT approved race tyres, trust me, you cannot really feel the difference if it is Power Race, Supercorsa Pro, Race Tech, RennSports, Diablo SuperCorsa.....cuz they all grip much darn well compared to the very best street sports tyres like 2CT, M3 or DC3.

I had riders using the "not so good" race tyres but doing better laptimes than me on a "very good" race tyres, lol.

Just make sure your tyres are new, fresh and properly warmed up. Hart could help you on that.
