i think there are only 2 type of mod u can do.drill more hole in the airbox or de-snorkel the airbox.but highly not recommend for both. =)

Well, for me after I drilled more holes it improves throttle response and lightness of throttling. But these holes are not on the airbox but on the snorkel itself. But after installing full system, I experience richness in air/fuel ratio. Need more air to come in quicker into my carbs. Was thinking of de-snorkelling airbox.

Install your BlueFlame first. Ride it and feel the difference.

 

- Better performance or not?

- Fuel Consumption change by a lot (improve or worsen drastically).

- Do you smell strong petrol fumes from your exhaust?

- Have you change to aftermarket performance high flow air filter?

- Have you done throttle body synchro/balancing?

 

If for pointers 1-3 is negative answers, opt for pointer 4. Do get yourself an aftermarket performance high flow air filter. You will definitely see a lot of improvements. I personally would recommend PiperCross air filter. Do check the Air Filter thread for my post on where to get the PiperCross. If results stil not satisfactory for you, go to pointer 5.

 

If all else fail, then get your Power Commander.

hi guys, did any of u tune your bike after installing BF?

 

yup ...need to syncro n tune airfuel mixture after svs yr carb...fuel consumption wil increase abit aft fix any freeflow can but tuning too lean wil cause over heating or too rich loss power n both wil cause fuel cons too high...

It is routine to balance/synchro throttle body/carb. Mine after install full system, engine area feels very hot initially. After balancing, temperature is back to normal and bike feels so smooth.

i've just svc n tune my carb a month before installing BF on my spec3, now my fc seems to be higher, maybe ard 260km reserve already, it was at least 300+ before installing BF.

any recommendations on where do i go to for synchro & tune airfuel mixture?

Just try to balance/synchro your carbs again. Can go to your fav mech to do it. No need tune. Tuning means changing jettings of the carburettor which is not necessary.
