The first series of Stebel Magnums is TM 80/2.

LTA not approved.

Stebel Magnums 2 is not reflected in the Stebel website.

Hi LTC, a very :thumb: work u hv done there. My view abt LTA reply, they normally go by the book & always on their safe side when replying.

Between car driver & biker safety issue, LTA has no provision yet or there wont be any regarding full blast car audio system by some of the bengs. In my past experiences (plural), loud horn save MY life. I feel, where our (biker) safety is concern, we can't strictly following LTA mindset. With that note, I install an isolation switch between my normal & air horn, just for the inspection purposes.

on a slight deviation a bit, i removed my stock horns and installed SM2 but it seems to limit the angle of my headlight housing. i did see however somebody with a custom made holder for it. nice. at least a proper holding area rather than the 2 mounting steel plates that were given.

if the owner is here... care to share?

got my hands on a pair of stebel magnum horns + relay i think

was wondering if i installed the horns but without the relay can anot?

i know that since there is a relay it must be there for a reason right?

so my question is

can or cannot?

will my electric wires be cooked should there be a short somewhere or rather the fuse will simply keep "blowing?" (no pun intended)

take me to georgia

need my help to install the horns for you?

the relay actually boast the power of the current giving you louder horn.

with and without the relay DOES make a difference.

you can install the horns without the relay. it jus sounds softer... (real softer)

if you want me to install it for you, i can demo to you the difference of with and without relay.

bro boon, i ever tried to install my horns without relay for some time like 3 months and luckily, nothing went wrong... but when i got to know that the relay makes a difference in the sound level of the horns, i fixed up the relay...

my 2 cents

hey pls dun tell ppl this and that why u dun noe anyting

i noe the intend of relay anot?

dun need to search the internet is u dun noe.!

for the benefit of white angel.

the stebel horn or after market electric horn. nt our tweety horn.

all require relay.

the relay will be energise to close the "contact" when the cct become a close 1. then it will output to the horn.

thus to energise the relay require less current to close the cct compare to the current goes in straight. it will overall lesser the load of the bike cct.

when u plug the horn in straight by juz replacing the tweety horn. it will still work but the load will cause the cct to be overload. which may result in bike cct fuse blow.

what i have done for my horn include a relay and a fuse. thus if really were to fail, it the fuse will still break before the cct being affected.

ensure u can always go to ur bike shop they will do it up for a fees nt more than $20

Good Morning Bro quizesilver and all!

the way you are explaining things here is more detailed for thread starter and all.

i thank you for that coz i learnt something from you today.

no offence to you, Bro quizesilver.

but, the way you approach me is a hard approach and it jus shows how rude you are towards others. look at how you phrase out your words. i dunno what is the problem that you have with me coz wherever i go, you have some unsightly comments towards me and onlookers can see that you are flaming me. why r u doing that? what others will think about you? if you are really out to share knowledge, jus share it. dun need to post another post to flame me. in my reply to bro boon21, i have already stated that what i have said is my 2 cents. i know i might not be right, but at least i have the intergity to share. if you think what i said was wrong, i believe you can use a better approach towards me right? what had been passed is passed. after all the misunderstanding, i think this flaming to should come to a halt. if need to, i do not mind meeting you to solve misunderstandings at a coffee table with a good chat and understanding of each other. i am a man, so are you. go think.

make love, not war. :cheeky:

take care and do have a nice cool sunday ahead, Bro quizesilver!

(p.s. - learn something from me. i really do hope to see a smilely at the end of every of your future replies to me in any thread that we meet)

apologies to thread starter as this post is :offtopic: & :spam:. :sorry:
