victim of snatch theft

Ladies who carries handbag going Jay Bee ... think again ... let this serve as reminder .....

 

Well ... i have heard stories and tales ... but never really thought would happened to me ... well actually ... my wife ... and the story begins ...

 

Sunday 3rd January ... 1530hrs ... riding along Jalan Tun Abdul Razak towards Singapore ... (100 meters before BP and the regular fruit stall on the LHS) ... it was drizzling ... i put up my raincoat at the bus stop ... pillion my wife ... who was unfortunately carrying her short strap handbag on RHS .. along came this biker tried to pull the handbag for her and my wife retaliated ... the bike wobbled ... i was doing about 50km/h ... traffic was moderate ... realizing my wife would not let go of her handbag .... he gave up and sped off ... i did not stop or give a chase ... realizing could be in more danger ... just can't wait to reach our shore .... the plate number was (JCC !@#$) grey on black plate ... it was intentionally bent and numbers hard to see ... the bike ... probably a red KIPS ... biker ... fair skinned guy ... mirror tinted visor .... lesson learned ... and never just for a moment take a chance and let our guard down ..... take care .... guys and gals ... safe riding ...

Anyway, if I can't carry a bicycle like Scubasimon & Silent Hunter suggested, can I carry a pepper spray thingy ?

Or I thought about hiding some sort of crow bar on my bike... - yeah, no. I'm gonna just not go to JB flashing anything like a bag or a wallet or whatever. Helmet-Gear-Bike. Ehm, they don't strip bikers naked in JB, do they ?

That very day, I was in JB at about 4:30 pm, kena knocked down by a stupid sgporean 'p-plate' honda fit..!

Pepper spray is also a controlled substance. Don't get caught with one.

Just carry Pepsi with lemon, cheap, legal, shake, spray, kena eyes also very pain one.

Later thristy still can drink. He try to run away you can throw.

 

I have 2 tire irons in my box. (crowbar like steel pieces for changing tire)

But I still recommend you carry a bicycle just in case!

Thanks all the for the concern ... when i reached Singapore ... my wife just kept hugging me and cried hysterically ... don't want this to happen to anyone else ... please help spread the message .... and if you see the potential victim ... please remind them ... thank you all .... anyone get into such situation ... please DO NOT retaliate ... you'll never know if it is a gang robbery ..... remember we are still foreigners in jay bee ...

Especially on bikes. The robber has the upper hand in terms of surprising the victim. Being caught by surprise while balancing on two wheels is the last thing you would want!

 

Anyway, TS, thank goodness that you are able to maintain your balance, otherwise the outcome would be much worse off.

hi guys, last sunday i was riding towards pandan city at jb with my gf ard 4pm.. After New york hotel junction there is a ESSO, i stopped to change money. i carried on with my trip like normal towards pandan city..At the next junction there was another Esso. waited at traffic junction for green light.. Once it turned green, i juz proceed slowly.. Out of sudden a malaysian guy pulled my gf's hangbag which was in the middle of us. i chased him thru the heavy traffic. Once he turned into southern City, i stopped the chase as he was proceeding into the village rd, as i was worried abt my gf's safety. Lost all my valuable including my passport.

 

Malaysian's Honda NSR, white background with red "NSR" wording

number plate starts with "J_ _ 17_ _ "

i didn't notice on the number plate as i tot i can chase him..

 

So guys be alert of this bike

Near to the esso, there's a shell. There's a snatch theft too. Happened around the same timing.

yeah should be more careful ... even if you got the plate no, will still be hard to nail down becoz the bike might be stolen. good to watch those youtube clips and familiarize how they operate
