differs from rider to rider also, and given with windshield or not. safe to say, about 140km/h. i know there are riders that can travelling constantly 160-180km/h

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

140-150 should be ok on S4...Those going 180 r siao...180 is about 11krpm..plus the windblast is tiring w/o windshield...Unless your listening to heavy metal songs..

Yup this i agree..

90-100 is just nice for sg expressway

for nshw u need at least 130 if not kena highbeam.

Fuel economy consideration, 80-90km/h will be just right.

Mine without windscreen, windblast is acceptable at around 90km/h. S4 @110-120km/h is still very stable but consider the windblast is quite significant to me. My neck get tired very soon. V-Tech sucks your petrol more at this speed (110km/h@7000rpm).

i listen to metal songs but not when i ride.. 180km/h without windshield is still too tiring.. haha..

180.... 11k rpm.... strong windblast. that's not comfortable anymore.

i would say 90-120.

yup. i agree 90+km/h is comfortable crusing speed for local road. but at nshw is a different case, esp when you go touring with kakis.

I think 100-120km/hr is ok for Singapore rds. Too fast attract unwanted attention though ;)

i rarely rarely go above 100km/h on sg roads.

you forgot to mention 7000k rpm vtec opens only refers to hyper vtec series.

Oh... OK... That's true lah... :sian:

But as a rule of thumb, fuel consumption goes up dramatically when your vehicle cursing speed goes above 80~90km/h due to "air friction"... Basically you won't feel in a car, but nuked bikes users know this better from the wind blast....

true that the best "top speed" for singapore is 90kph to 100kph... but how bout in a non-singaporean context?

im trying to assess the suitability of a super 4 for touring...

cruising speed depends on how fast you want to reach your destination...

Singapore roads

i usually ride between 80-120kmh on highways, any higher will attract brother in white attention

but i once travelled at 120-140kmh crusing along TPE-SLE..from tampines to marsiling and it took me ard 15mins:angel:

i hope no TP reading the above para:angel:

shows how big singapore is......

NSHW

constant crusing speed ard 120-160kmh..

at that speed can reach melaka in 1 and a half hours.....

at that speed the wind blast can be really tiring...and your neck is can be sore after a long ride just like after headbanging to 10 metallica albums back to back:giddy::giddy:

thing to note is that when you are going at such speed, your fuel consumption tend to drop drastically too

recent example is that when riding my Ver S, usually the consumption will be ard 350km before reaching reserve

but when riding to melaka, 260km only bike reach reserve already...

hope the info helps!

It aint me officer...The bike is POSSESSED!!
