Anyway went back to loois and get prof meng to rectify the problem already.

 

The shop use some chemical to clean my brake disc and the chemical still stick on the disc so its "slippery"

 

Today went to buy the reflective sticker liao, its quite cheap la, SGD14.7 for a lenght enough for both side box...

I want to fix a top box for my bike but it seems like the base plate which comes with the box is different from the rack of my bike...

Hi Bros, I just got my STX a week ago.

Wanna ask the seniors here, other than normal maintenance, what are the things I need to take note?

Does the bike give any problems?

Hi all this is my first post. Actually i have already make up my mind on a ST1100 at new southern. FS22** grey ST. i dun think its the original colour . Have any of u guys seen the bike and the condition of it cos its the first time i get big bikes.

 

Worry abt the condition. Anyone have view it before ?

Try not to modify the original rack on the machine itself. Perhaps you can source for other similar baseplate and mod it to fit the rack? I am not really sure unless there is some pictures that you show but you may want to try Seng Kwang at amk or check other STX on how they mount their topbox.

No probs with my bike so far. Done 30k plus now and still good. Enjoy your ride.

bro how much did u get it for?? the fs plate??

 

i can recommend u my ex st white fp plate. still at bikeshop, engine is in very gd cond coz timing belt, tensioner change before. itz a pan european.

i was wondering since i m 29 and really wana own a ST11,how much would my insurence cost? i understand its consider a full fairing bike.. but i was just wondering.. thanks alot if u can leave me some info. maybe a preferable company other then NTUC.

perhaps u can gather some info of the ST1100 u wana buy & give NTUC a call to ask for a quote, TPFT will do.

 

up to now Im sure they offer the lowest rate for non-comprehensive.

just hopefully ill purchace the ST11 on the garage sales area by brembo... any insite on that back??

currently no in local area.. so cant really view the bike ar talk to any riders on it...

yo yo yo simon!! hey thanks loads for entertaining my call the past 2 days.

 

just wana share wif u all, my dads bike broke down while riding. batt gone flat. i jump start can run, few mins later die again. i disconnect the headlight and jumpstart the bike till it reaches my home carpark.

 

checked for voltage of batt low. jumpstart and start the bike, measure and the battery is not charging when throttle rev. obviously the alternator dead, which i fear of....hahhaa

 

i try my luck next day and get a furukawa japan batt at $70. i replace the new batt, resit the 3P and 2P connector for the alternator like wad simon mentioned and the manual states. bike able to run constantly but no charging effect when throttle {headlight doesnt get brighter}.

 

it died again on the way to werk, but the bike able to start after 15 mins later. why?? coz the lead acid is new and acidic i guess.

 

so head down to HKL, get ah keong to get it done. had alternator change plus labour $770 plus engine oil and the left and right cam top gasket changed. i tot of DIY the alternator but i seen in the web is a hella one of a big process...fear if i need replacement for new gasket and seal.

 

*pity my dad* aniwae now he feels the bike more smooth, responsive and powerful. he likes it. moreover he will keep the bike till next coe ends! hahaha

 

the symptoms, it lets go sort of like a hiss sound when throttle, and the engine aint that smooth when throttle at low speed.

i finally found a ST11 its a FV3218.. or someting like that ..its at ASpoon in changi.. the guy qute me 15k... i like the bike but i m not sure abt the condition... its red in colour.. can u advice me on wat i need to look out for in the engine aspect..
