SeanLo,

some vibes from the handle is norm but it shouldnt be excessive, there r many cause for it, one of the major cause is the fuel.

quality(not the RON level) of the fuel is very obvious, personally Ive experienced it upon fueling from the nearest station b4 checkpoint from our neighbour. not sure what the others experience it, for me Im very sensitive to it. :cheeky:

u mention about the buzzling..? can u describe it better..?

Thanks cbkooky, PMed details.

By the way, is it normal to experience a slight buzzing like vibes from the bars and foot pegs? After a few minutes of riding can feel the hands going numb.:giddy: Read from ST-owners, maybe need to sync the carbs?

Hi Simon

Buzzing-like vibration like a handphone on vibration on the the handles and the pegs. Only very significant when at 3k or more rpm. Never try another ST so cannot determine whether mine is normal or not. I'm only comparing it to my last bike. And same like you, I'm very sensitive to any vibes and sounds from the vehicles I've drive.

Agree with you, the fuel can be a cause for vibes. Thats why now pump Shell V-power instead Esso F1 at GP. Had quite a number of problems starting the car when I was driving after pumping Esso. So never pump at esso at GP again until after I've got the ST. Tried the F1, but vibrations seems to be quite bad and the bike quite hard to start same issues as the car. Now only pump shell or petronas.

Yesterday, pump Shell V-power, engine is now smoother.

I am thinking of getting a ST1100X(99'), at about 3K. But the bike was not used for past 3 years. I was promised by owner that it will send in the bike for a engine treatment.....should i get it?? Abit of rush at the disk brake.......and the bike cant be started......

yours is a US model? In any case it should come with it if it is a pan european model...Can try Boon Siew or FJT.But doubt it be cheap.

Mine is not the US model. Has headlight switches n reading in kmh.
