seen a majority of girls riding scramblers/motard and scooters

you could consider motards.

Hmmm...Will consider....I may need to go around and try out different kinds of bikes to see which one fits me the most....But I do love the Honda NSR...

How do I go about trying out different bikes? Go to shops and test drive?

hi there :D yes, going to view the bikes is a good idea..u can sit and see which one more comfy haha!

nsr and sp are referring to the same bike..the 'full name' is nsr150sp..its a 2-stroke bike, more powerful than the cbr150 which is a 4-stroke.

in terms of top speed, sp can hit 180+ kmh while cbr only does 150+ kmh..

but fuel consumption is twice as high, about 20+ km/l compared to cbr 40+ km/l..

the cbr has a more relaxed position which doesnt require u to lean forward as much..might help if ur worried about ur bottom haha :p

maintenance: sp > cbr

looks: sp > cbr

top speed: sp > cbr

economy: cbr > sp

if u prefer sp, please take note that it requires 2T as well as 4T engine oil, its more prone to piston jams, only has kick-start..

production has been halted so only 2nd hand models are available

please view the bike with an experienced biker, as some sp are old and likely to have been abused/ modified..

take care, be wise and try not to buy from bike shops as they have the tendency to carrot new riders :cheeky:

should u require any female-only sub-forum, there is one available in sbf too..http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=168183 u can sign up here

Hi, I'm a female and I'm 24 and I have just gotten my motorcycle 2B license. I do not intend to take 2A. But I do want to buy a bike. I don't have any bike knowledge. What is the best bike suitable for a lady? Any ladies here to give any ideas or tips?

Since you do not wish to upgrade, you should get yourself a first hand bike.

Avoid second hand bike like sp which will create more headaches for you.

Recommend runner for girls as you move in and out of the traffic with ease.

last but not least get your financial calculation right. Doubt you wan to eat bread and peanut just to afford a 2-wheeler machine.
