my IU is held by a bracket screwed to the handlebar risers. very ugly but works fine. as for the speedo, press and hold the left button for a few seconds and it will change to kmh.

be careful when peddling the bike backwards to park. the exhaust is very hot and burnt my calf a couple of times. try not to park it on anything except perfectly flat ground. it will topple unless using mainstand.

there is a meetup tonight. check your pm

any1 tried using cross country/dirt tyres on his TDM? maybe can try do alittle off road:cheeky:

can't find suitable dual purpose tyres for the rims. the closest would be those used by gs1200 (bridgestone) but doesn't fit either. tyre manufacturers seems to produce off-road tyres for spoke rims only.

it came with the bike. maybe you can check with Looi's to see if they have anymore. funny that the place you got it from didn't provide the bracket.

hi pufferfish, i just went down to M-technik yesterday and there's a new shipment of hepco and becker mainstand available. looks neat and good finishing... maybe you can call the boss or go down personally to view and check out the price  as for windscreen, personally i think it will depend a lot on your height, but i would recommend a higher screen to protect urself from the bugs and deflect some of the wind from hitting your full face helmet if u r going to do some touring in our neighbouring countries

to all tdm9 riders, i just changed the front forkspring plus oil and now the bike travels better over rough surfaces and front grips better during cornering  it's a good and worthwhile investment if u r keeping ur tdm9 for some time

ride safe everyone.

cheers

yo..

does anyone know the exact address of M-technik? and possibly contact number?

thanks

i don't really mind unless going to travel up up up north.

japanese bikes like the tdm, varadero and v-strom are road bikes with higher clearance, cast rims and longer suspension travel (sports tourers). european bikes like r1200gs, caponord, adventure and tiger have spoke rims (enduro). bmw classify bikes like r1150rs and k1200rs as sports tourers.

the only real alternative for me is r1200gs. i won't consider vehicles that are not from either japan or germany. since i don't go off tar road often, tdm is good enough.

wanted a tdm900 since bout 2 week ago, then i saw this vstorm1000 on the road a few days ago. damn, now cannot make up my mind which to get!

only God may judge me!

Today and yesterday, on the way to CMPB

saw two different TDM. Both yellow, ridden by a guy and a female.

Ok own up now... which one of you did i saw?

I prefer the lady to reply though :cheeky:

The guy was on his way into Tower A and for the lady, was traveling along (Lower) Delta road if i not wrong.
