count me in bro. ive organized the same event before as the lead cyclist. so ok lah for me.

pls remember to whoever is joining this event that not to make a fool out of ourself as this is not our event but theirs. :cheeky:

Yup its an event organized by SpMLS and SpSILAT along wif Nurdeen SpMLS.

K they are expecting a total of a Maximum of 100 cyclist...

They will be broken up to 5 groups...

(100 cyclist / 5 groups = 20 cyclist per group)

 

Then 3 marshal (Motocyclist) would escort 1 group...

> Keeping them in formation,

> Keeping the pace,

> Making sure other road users are aware of the cyclist and

> "Control" traffic during any junction they need to cross....

 

Yes we'll escort the cyclist from SP to ECP(nearer to McDonald)

We're needed to control the traffic flow around them...

 

The actual route would be from;

>> SP

>> Queenstown MRT

>> Botanical Garden

>> Zouk (Passing by only)

>> Masjid Moulana

>> Nicoll Highway

>> KAllang Stadium

>> TAnjong Rhu

>> ECP

 

It a very long and winding journey but i belief it would be very fun...

Especially when u "suffer" with your friends....

anyway, whoever took ur kickstarter will serve his karma soon. who knows the next time he kick start his bike with ur kickstarter, his bike wont start up. and even if he manage to start it up, he will crash the next few meters he rides his bike.

 

the only thing u can do now is to get a new kickstarter. nothing much u can do also right. maybe its a sign for u to change ur kickstarter to something nicer.

YEsterday when i was on PIE heading to Tuas...

2 bikes cut me just a mirror's length away...

 

One after the other...

1st was a spark wif GPR pipe, cut me on the left...

2nd was a cbr 4 wif pillion, cut me on the right...

And i was on the outer most right lane travelling at 110km/h...

 

WAh-liao my blood rushed up sia....

If there was a third i guess he surly kena from me sia...

 

I jus continue my journey praying hard GOD will deal wif them...

We'll be travelling from SP to ECP....

Escorting cyclist during this nite event....

The MAin Event will be on the 17-18Oct 2008 (0000-0500)

The Test run (wif cyclist) will be on the 22-23 Sep 2008 (0000-0500)

The Marshal briefing will be on the 13 Sep 2008 (2000-????)

 

We marshal are required to attend to all these dates as we are the KEy to their Safety.....

sad to say cannot join u guys as i think by then no more bike for me.anyway jus wan to add on,y call sp raiders?y nt the cisco?i mean they are more legal on the road for escort as for us we couldn't do much in escorting as it may coz rd hogging.jus my 2cent,coz i saw one last time like only 50 cyclist but theres a lorry at the back and a few cisco bikes escort

Well i decided to turn to my friends 1st as i believe if we call Cisco $$$$ will be another factor...

 

We're applying police permit and most of the cycling would be done at the wee hours...

 

But true enough we could be called road hogging but i cant think of a safer way to escort the cyclist other than on the road...

 

Lets not begin abt cycling on the pavement...
