Hi bros...i have a question. If you have put on aftermarket full system exhaust, air filter, loaded full of accessories- crashbar, HnB boxes with considerable load. What would your FC be like? Mine jumped from 18ltrs-320km( arrow slip on n stock header, bmc air filter, HnB topbox only) to 18ltrs-215km(fully loaded....hehe throttle unfriendly...going 60mph to 78mph (between 3 to 4 rpm). I need a serious retune.

Hmm. For me, not alot of difference in fc w full system n end can only. But im still using stock air filter.

On some days, when im throttle unfriendly, (5-6k rpm b4 changing gears), i can get 240-280km b4 reserve. But thats w topbox only.

But on trips when i was fully loaded, n cruise above 140kmh, i can get ard 220-240km b4 reserve.

To me, if u get below 220km b4 reserve, n between 3-4k rpm, it seems bad. Wats ur CO setting? Maybe too high?

i had similiar setup like yours and was still clocking est 18-20km/L . usually doing 3-4k rpm too.

i believe u need to check your CO setting. i am on #5.

hope it helps

Need some advise...

Just got my class 2 n i never thought of riding a bigger bike or any class 2 bikes b4 as i always into vintage bikes... till i tompang my fren on his GS... shud i get any used touring bike to play-play first to see if i really like a tourer or jump the gun n get a brand new S10.... GS looks good but imo S10 is still the yamahal (the expensive) n look more garang...

i noe tourers are not cheap...if buy a brand-new S10, i scared if i dun like it then like wasting my money... but if buy a used one n i like the feel of a tourer, scared i regret not buying the S10...

Any advise appreciated.. How do guys find ur first love with a tourer??

Thanks......

Biting point,

i read your blog on the S10 - maybe you should change your helmet instead, as the Arai's peak is quite flimsy when at high speeds

Used to have the long way down version but sold it off and got a Shoei instead.

I ride a tenere 660xtz btw , just IMO no offense !

Tourer - upright posture, cruising at high speeds (180kph), able to look nice even with panniers and top box.. eg: FJR, STX

Adv tourer - upright posture, cruising at high speeds (150kph), looks fierce with panniers and top box, able to go off tarmac (cambodia, laos)

in my terms, much more "bangable" compared to sports tourers because of protection parte like crash bars, handguards..

so you like sports tourer or adv tourer??

just follow your heart.. if not, follow your wallet..

i'm using it for daily use in SG..

love the peak for its sunblocking..

i do have sports helmet..

well, a adv bike, needs a adv helmet..

i will be trying it without peak soon..

not really a fan of Shoei.. been wearing Arai for years..

else will be trying out a high screen..

no offense at all, we are all sharing our experiences..

With regards to touring:

Do you like to ride fast n reach destination?(ST) Or r u more of a slack type? (AT)

Do u like to explore n is e more gungho type? (AT) or u prefer fairing, clean cut edgy bike? N prefer to jus stay on tarmac? (ST)

When meet with road obstacles, do u prefer to zip n swerve left right thru?(ST), or u wish to go up pedestrian, travel thru e unpaved rd instead? (AT)

Both types of bike r great tourers. But both will satisfy different kind of ppl. Even if u nv rode big bikes b4, im sure u will find it fun.

High screen can solve e peak prob. For me, i also picked arai over shoei due to better fitting n fabric. ;)

Btw, sorry tat i havent email u the logo, work's been piling up, driving me crazy...
