Really enjoy the new road... pratically seem like we own the new highway :lol:...

Summary

 

Meet up time : 2000hr

Move our time : 2035hr (late by 5 min due to latecomers)

(Note: must make it a point to move out on schedule, latecomers have only themselves to blame. Unless 50% or more are stuck in the jam)

A few did manage to go by themselves. This not encouraged though.

 

Speed during the journey varies between 90 to 110kmh.

 

Distance one way is 87km plus return trip is about 176km

GP Esso to Senai turn 22km

Pasir Gudang turn is 28km i.e. plus 6km from the Senai turn. (2 left turns are very close to one another, take the 2nd one that says Pasir Gudang)

R & R with Shell at 61km

Since the road to Desaru is incomplete, there's only one way to go to Pasir Gudang. So just follow the sign till 82km and look out for the "Tanjong Putri Resort" signboard. Turn left in and it's another 5km to the destination. Watch out for road humps and the 1.4km of sandy road.

On return trip, go back the same way and you should see a Shell at 114km mark. Take note it closes at midnight. Found out the hard way last Sat.

After that is follow the sign board that say Tuas all the way back to GP Esso.

 

 

Food. RM300 per table with the following dishes.

1. Cheese Crab

2. Steam Prawns

3. Lala

4. Fuyong Egg

5. A pair of small steam fish

6. Seasonal veggies

7. XO chicken wings

 

Free fruits or ice cream after dinner. Any extra orders like drinks and oysters are payable individually.
