hi everyone.. I met an accident recently on my Gen 2 and broke my body frame. I wrote an appeal to bring in a new body frame but was just wondering if anybody had any experience like mine or heard of anyone writing in to LTA to bring in a new body frame and was successful in doing so. There is no way to weld the frame back. So my only option is to purchase a new body frame.

Hope to hear from ya'll. Meanwhile, ride safe.

Which hotel ah? Parking safe or not?

ALL hotel prices(No discount virtually) will be increased from next week as it will be the June school holidays. (That's why I plan the trip before the holidays starts). Parking is safe if you knows or be friendly with the hotel staff!!! :)

Sorry to hear about your accident bro... Do hope you have a fast recovery. As for your frame, I think LTA will not allowed it. My friend ever had the same problem, and eventually scrapped the bike and sold the the parts to recover loss. But no harm in trying to write to LTA to explain your situation.

Hi Bro Falcons,

i've just bought new busa from motordiam. And its been really nice! Big bike frame, nice engine sound, just makes me smile when I look at it..

The thing is i've managed to get a set of Motovation frame sliders from my shop and they told me that to fix em', need to drill hole into fairing! :(

Asked em bout other alternatives n got another 2.

1) One is attach to metal frame then jut the sliders out from fairing opening so no HOLES. (but they say "buang" the bike, this set up is actually useless, can't protect much.)

2) Heard the mechanic say got one slider model that local dun haf must buy frm EBAY, that one also no need drilling. (any idea what?)

So bros? You guys drill holes to secure frame sliders? Heart pain lei, if need to drill hole. But protection also equally important.

Please advise laojiaos n bros! Thanks in advance.

Bro, u can consider installing no-cut sliders. like u, i can't bear cutting holes in the fairing. Just search in ebay "t-rex sliders hayabusa". Hope it helps and enjoy your busa ride!

Thanks manbusa and salem77 for ur response. Im doing quite well in my recovery process.

I know that the whole process illegally can be done just that it is not a preferred option as I dnt wanna put my job on the line if im caught 1 day. And I know people who can do it illegally but what all mechanics cant do is the plate on a Gen 2 right hand side of the frame near the tank area. There's a plate with the chassis number there and its not an engraved piece. Very sad now. But trying all means to save my falcon. Thnx again guys for the response. Greatly appreciated. Hmm. How abt the rest? Anyone heard or may know a person who did this process legally?

Thanks redflag for advising!:thumb: T-rex sliders eh?? okie... will go check it out.

redflag what slider are u using and where did u buy them from?

haha, noob here, so didnt know got this brand.

so sian man, got the sliders at my home but no heart to drill it into my fairing..

I checked hkl racing for no cut sliders but they said they don't have no cut sliders for busa. :(

is there any riders that drill their motovation sliders into their frames?

Would it affect the resale value? My take is if everybody does it, maybe resale won't be largely affected after all.

Anyone can share?

Hey guys,

I need some advise

my bike definately needs some form of suspension tuning

the rear is wayyy too bouncy and the front is just not giving me the confidence i need to attack the corners

can anyone tell me where is a good place I can get the suspension sorted out , I wanna some good advise with regards to damping and preload, stiffer oil for the front, heavier springs and confirm if my shocks are really screwed before I decide to go aftermarket

In any case if my shocks are really screwed, any options besides Ohlins?

Im not a trackie so I dont really need those linear race shocks.... Im sliding more towards the hyperpro for it's comfort and a lil bit of sportiness... anyone can give me a price quote for the various brands if im gonna change my rear schocks and front springs?

I'm using Trex Slider. Personally static dropped my bike 2 times. only stator cover, exhaust and mirror kanna. The fairing is okay. Cost me SGD160 shipped.
