People step ahead for the better.

When someone is hunting for a class2 Jap bike, they regards Hayabusa as the number one.

When they making a move forwards, Hayabusa is the least regarded bike in their list ...

Otherwsie in high chance, somewhere has gone wrong ... :p

I think the wifey is asking him to upgrade to 4wheels......

Many did remove the thermostat sensor, only gen 2 version of hayabusas comes with 2 fans.

To avoid engine over heat. Do NOT re-install it.

I think this is because it takes a fair amount of commitment, knowledge and finance in order to maintain a busa in good condition. Plus, it’s a not the best bike to ride on Singapore roads due to its size, weight and traffic conditions.

Hi bro,

I think you are referring to the “RADIATOR FAN SWITCH”. Logically, there is no reason why it has to be removed unless for some reason, he did a manual fan switch to turn ON the fan. Did you encounter any over heating issues while you are stationary? The temperature gauge should only be slightly above the middle of the display. If the needle goes above ¾ of the gauge, something is wrong and you should not ride your bike anymore until it has been rectified. FYI, gen 1 busa only have 1 fan. If you are talking about a “THERMOSTAT”, that’s a totally different thing.

Please see this link for correct terminology. http://www.partforyamaha.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=SUZ#/Suzuki/GSX1300R_(2007)/RADIATOR_HOSE/022470007/56022470020

You can get OEM suzuki parts from the following places

1. KS motorcycle (along Jln Besar)

2. Eversuccess (ard mustafa)

3. Guan Hoe (rangoon road)

Hope this helps.

Bro pussycat,

Busa does come with an image….But not a problem. It’s the riders that have a problem. There is a saying “All mothers love their children”. The riders of any bike may tend to think that their bike is the best bike in the world to justify their purchase because they have not got the chance to ride other bikes to know the difference yet. To me, all bikes are built differently for different purposes and riders but all bikes/cars got their own pros and cons.

If you can bear the hot air cooking your balls all the time, by all means go ahead.

There are a few ways of modding the thermostat......

i think u are talking abt is "thermostat" dun think anyone will remove the "radiator fan switch", cause if they remove the fan switch, your fan will not be turn/switch on all when it reaches the middle mark.

thermostat basically work as such, when the radiator fan's sensor reach a certain "resistance" = temp, they will trigger the thermostat to open the coolant flow. which would assist the cooling of the bike usually it is at the time when the fan turns on.

btw, in idea case the temperature gauge should not go above middle mark. if yes, something is wrong with your cooling system. it is not cooling fast enuff.

most busa owner will/might remove the thermostat to allow the coolant to be always flowing to allow the bike to be cooler as per say.

due to my bike nature, it has dual fan (both fan on tog when trigger or i can manually turn on a fan to keep it running constant in jam) and i also remove the thermostat. so when i ride in raining days, my temp sometimes will go only up to 1/4 mark which is quite "cold"

sorry for the newbie post.

Another point to add on. Thermostat also helps to maintain the engine at a good operating heat range. Engine is not efficient when it is too cold or too hot. One good purpose of the thermostat is to allow the engine to warm up faster, the thermostat will open at (82degree celcius) allowing the coolant to flow into the radiator to prevent it from overheating fast. I do not know how hot the busa is running while on the move but from my preivous gixxer (600/750) experience, it is always running at ard 80+ degree celcius. Only during very cold night, then I can see it running below that. So most of the time your thermostat gonna open anyway, so why remove it?
