yeah hi to all,

i dun tink is the problem wif the engine oil,coz the tickling sound appears quite sometimes ago liao,im now using motorex 15w-50 fs,i tried be4 castrol superbike, motul both ester and competition the sound still there...puzzling me was that my previous k3 busa also have had the same tickling sound wif mileage less than 10k on it after hard breaking in it wif mineral oil.The agent told me that the sound would onli occur when its cold for about 1 min or 2 and it will be gone when the engine is warm up. i ever heard of the manual cct but had bad feedbacks from other overseas busa forms that would cause the cct to snap and cause further damages to the engine..what oil u guys normally use?fully or semi sythethic?

Mine using castrol R4 fully sythethic... I think no worries abt the sound if it not really loud just do ur cct change at every 30-35,000km...

I think that must be the reason. You are using 15-50W which takes longer to warm up the engine. But then again, if you do thrust us, join us in outings and maybe we can hear about it. Cos if you say there is something unusual, there must be something we can learn out of it.:goodluck:

Btw, I'm using Sikolene Fuchs 10-50W. Used to like the smooth gearing from 15-50W. But I'm more particular to engine noise. Can't have the best of both worlds.

Hey Shoei, 4T used on your transmission chain shortens the lifespan of your chain. This is due to the fact that it actually breaks your o-ring or x-ring. :nono:

This is my personal experience. Back to the days before I ride my 1st ZX11, I had a old Kawa Z550. Due to my lack of experience, I had to change my chain every approximately 6-8mths which is abt 10k - 15k. Despite the fact that I lube my chain every 4-5 days cos I ride 'her' every day. It came to my knowledge later that the substance in the 4T actually 'eats up' the o-ring. This, I hope have answer GuiNNeSS. Otherwise I also dun noe how to put it in words.

Secondly, have you been to long rides recently? If not, this is what I have to say. My Busa have been using the stock chain and sprocekets from day 1. With careful maintenace and care, my chain lasted me up till 47k worth of mileage without any prob. And all this while, I had only adjusted my chain once. Recently, as you might have know, during my ride up to Khrabi(3 Natin Charity), I have to adjust my chain so frequently. By the time I came back to SG, it's been adjusted all the way to the max. What I am saying here is not adjusting your chain for a long time may not necessary mean that your chain is in mint cond. I think that we might not have drag it for a long time to really stretch it. And when you do after a long long time, you will see the great diff.

This is 1 big lesson have learnt. I was so worry that I can't make it back. It's just like tires.......... Don't get me wrong. I am just sharing my experience. I fear to see what I have experience happening to friends. No ill intention.:cheer:
