Enjoy the exhilaration of ‘flying’ down the fighter aircraft runway on 12 June and join thousand others at the 10th Anniversary celebrations of National Runway Cycling.

 

Jointly organised by SAFRA, Republic of Singapore Air Force and Singapore Sports Council, National Runway Cycling is the largest cycling and inline skating event in Singapore. The organisers are expecting 10,000 participants to mark another milestone in the event.

 

Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister of Community Development, Youth and Sports will be officiating the event as Guest-of-Honour. He will join thousands of others on the ‘restricted flight’ down the runway.

 

With a spectacular display of RSAF’s latest stable of aircrafts and weapons systems such as F16D Blk 52D and Chinook helicopter, it will be a rare opportunity to come up close with these aircrafts for photo taking.

 

Many other fringe activities, games and stalls will also be incorporated as part of the event’s 10th Anniversary. For a start, cyclists and inline skaters will kick off the anniversary celebrations by forming a massive figure of ‘10’ at the Start Line!

 

Admission to the event is FREE! Register at any SAFRA Club now. Limited edition t-shirts are on sale at AXS Stations located islandwide. You can also register online here. Bicycles are available for rental at $18.90 each at SAFRA clubs from 9 May to 5 Jun 05.

Yes, riding bike there should not be a problem. I took part 2 years ago. The parking area I think its about 500m away from the main entrance.

hi ppl... i newbie in rollerblade but like to learn to play... first i like to buy a pair of blades. but i not sure where to get good n cheap ones. can ani 1 advise me like how to choose the shoes etc... my budget less than 150. Thanks

Since it's gonna be a long term committment,spend abit more and buy from some reputable shops like skateline which offers good blades at relatively good prices...

you buy cheap cheap skates, then when you get better at skating, you tends to want to upgrade, end up you will pay more than $150 and maybe more than the pair i have now...hahaha

 

Go for a decent pair of blades that can last you thru intermediate stages too, not a pair that can only see you thru beginners stage

where to buy a decent pair of blades? saw a pair tt cost 400+ at paragon the sports shop....want to get a decent pair...coz i used to own 1 pair which i bought for 400+ but too small for me liao...budget ard 250...
