The mode common and reliable ones will be salomon and K2. Recently, a lot of newer players came in. If you aslk me, I will say "go for a Salomon."

So now i got 3 choices for good blades is it? K2, Salomon or Technica? Among these 3 brands which is the cheapest and smooth one? Just want to pickup blading scared later i don enjoy it then dump it one side?

i dunno how to answer ur question. each brand has low to high end model, hence prices vary.

having said that, i would suggest salomon as well :p K2 is abit ex and i would consider high end/luxury for beginner.

If you seriously consider to take out this sports, have to invest abit on the equipments (good skates, protective gear, helmet).

Just to share abit of my experience about the cheapo skates.

Few of my colleagues went blading at ECP, after sometime we notice one of the girl have a weird pushing action at the left skate. So we go "investigate" by exchanging skates.... and confirmed her left skate is slanted !! The slated blade make her cannot push correctly and got problem to learn brake, turning etc.

Same like other sports, you need to "know" for you to enjoy it.

Maybe this is what you all need...

A webpage that display the current models and Singapore pricing....

Here you go http://www.e-sportz.com/

But if you can afford, go for a FSK (Freeskate), Highly recommended. Skating had become so much fun with a FSK. You will never regret buying one.

actually you can go ahead with the second-hads ones. To me, if the owners sells the skate, there might be a few reason.

1) the size doesn't fit well

2) some injured seriousely afeter skating

3) the skate sucks, its can't run, owner upgrade to 5 wheels

4) the skate sucks, owner upgrade to FSK for stunts.

Anyway What's the difference between Blades for Men and for Women?

Yes.

There are difference in :

1. Foot shape. Women and men has slight different in foot bones, skates have to design to provide proper supports and comfort.

2. Body weight. Women usually heavy at the back, so the skates has to design to counter the weight.

Usually you will only found the designs for different sex in higher end products, example Salomon, K2 etc.

Those cheapo skates dont have this consideration....
